Jun. 26th, 2006 03:30 pmBored out of my skull yes. Day really was flying by until a half hour ago. Now it's all grinding to a halt. 3 more hours, rrgh...
Read Bleach v.10-12 at the DnD game yesterday (twice actually), and zomg. Always I am reduced to zomg. I can't get over how much I luff this manga. Yes it's fight after fight. But that's shounen, that's just how it is. And I like that. It's the wonderful character interactions, exploration of character, humor, drama, and what-have-you along the way. I love how I'm cracking up at one bit, then flailing waugh at the next, then getting my heart twisted the next...seriously, this is truly one of the best of all the shounen series I've fanned. Bonus is as more than one person I've known has said--the female characters are *so* well done. They're real people, they're likable and stay likable, and they're asskicking. Hallelujah.
But ohman...the whole fight with Ichigo and Renji? End of v.11? Omg, love. Truly. I am well and truly besotted with Renji now. His line about 'always barking at the moon, but never jumping for it'? Uwah. Gah. I adore Ishida and IchiIshi, love all these characters, but Renji is so the one I can utterly relate to. He'd be one I'd RP or write if I had the time. Still just loving the main cast (how can Chad be such a side character yet so. UTTERLY. fascinating and developed? The mangaka has taken such nice care in crafting this character)--also v. fond of Shinsui, Nanao (gah, don't care if those two are a couple or not, I've seen a variety of pairings, but their interactions are crack-beautiful XD ), the adorable little hard-to-remember guy from 4th division, ms. boobs of 11 division (gads, she's gorgeous~). Def. many characters I'm 'eh' on, not surprising with a large cast, and many I don't trust a bit (tho probably b/c I've spoilered myself). Also..I know there's reasons for the way Byakuya is, I know some of the backstory...but holy freaking hell, fecking cold bastard. I mean seriously. The way he treats Rukia, his actions towards Renji...I wanted so to *bite* him. >.< Am dying for v.13 as is, but now I've got to go find more explanations for why the hell this dude's doing such things. Baaaaaaastaaaaaaaaaard. Or so his actions make him seem. Geh. Anyway, loved the little side stories of life back in the normal world, like the one with Mizuiro especially. Love how much all the characters are all explored. Utterly love.
Anyway. Yes. There's more to life than manga, surely, but that's all that's on my mind. Want more T__T Want the series on DVD. Am weakening to getting scanlations--I want moar NOOOOOOOW--but just don't have the time to chase down the scads of chapters I'd need to catch up. No idea where to find it all either, esp. since licensing has made it all more underground I'm sure. But geh...wondering if anyone has it somewhere where it can be tossed on a CD-ROM or several. I'd pay. T______T I'd just about beg, I think.
Other than that...watched Steamboy Sat. evening, some rather fun steampunk that. Don's DnD game that's mostly just hanging out and talking Sunday (was basically bored, snacked too much), the usual WoW thing. Thanks to the AD quests and needing to grind for the stupid stupid insignia, I basically spent the whole weekend grinding-killing mobs. Duuuuuuuull. Need to get in more instances where the quest items drop, as more drop at a time. Need to quit needing to do so much on Sas too, am dying to really work on Nin as well as Yshiida. Not to mention *needing* to get Estremoz from 21 to 35 so as to be able to progress fully in alchemy and leatherworking (I know, that which I dropped on Sas -_- ). Least LW doesn't have to go all the way, just to 250. Alchemy will go easily really, since it'll be to make stuff constantly for Sas. Just those levels will take awhile. : / ...I won't even talk about how I really want to be playing my troll toons. D: No idea when I can get time for that. Times like this wish I could take a hiatus from raiding and just play. But I like raid progression too much to give it up. Want to see the end of AQ40 and get into Naxx.
Loituma CDs turned out to be ok, tho Leva's Polka is the best song off them both. Turns out the stuff I'm most into at the moment is a Czech group Anj introduced me to, was entranced by it immediately--Cechomor, sort of a folk style music but yet more than that. It's *extremely* good, and addicting. Out of all I've heard recently, it is the one group I'm desperate to make others listen to, to share the addiction. I'm tempted to explore yousendit, but not sure how big of a file it permits or shared with how many. But ffs, must get it to other people. *Must*. I mentally flail as I listen to it with the need for someone else to hear.
Eh. 2 1/2 more hours. Egads.
