Feb. 7th, 2006 09:13 amWhat is with this weekly post thing I've been doing? >_<; I didn't get paid permanent to post just four times a month. Need to quit being lazy, too-tired, and too busy. Eh.
Anyway. WoW. Because of course it's on my mind and all I been doing. >.> Did a lotta PVP the past week, one evening of WSG, AB, and a quick AV; another day of a loooooong AV (not because it was an epic battle, more that people are total idiots), followed later by some WSG, AB, and a quick strategic slick AV (so nice). I'm definitely re-hitting sergeant today, if I'm lucky I might even get to sergeant major ^.^ *crosses fingers*
And today! Tuesday maintenance yay! Because I'll have the rank, and I finally, after farming myself insane the past few weeks, have enough money--when I log in, I'll finally get my epic mount. Raidingwise, the group has done phenomenally well. I got to see us get Broodlord last week and be part of attempting Firemaw--then last Saturday they got past Firemaw and I got to see attempts on some godugly trash mobs (not much trash in BWL, but what's there is *GUH*difficult). Last night we not just attempted Ebonroc and Flamegor but killed them both, despite it being our first encounter with each. :O Yee! Got to attempt Chromaggus, but as well as we did not knowing what the hell we were doing, looks like he could go down in a week or two. And Chromaggus is the second-to-last boss of BWL. o_o We get him down...then it's Nefarian. Dude. Woah. Hardest 40-man instance in the game so far, and we're pwning it.
But won't be hardest for long--the war effort is finally done, and a horde guild should be opening the AQ gates in a massive world event Friday early (like between 5-6am). I'm definitely going to be up and watching, and what the hell, I'm taking the day as vacation to hang out with guild folks and take whacks at the ensuing Silithid invasion. From what we've seen on other servers (think about 5 or so others have done this so far), the opening/invasion is just freaking epic. But once the gates are open, we'll finally be able to work on AQ-20 and maybe even AQ-40--hadn't thought we were ready for AQ-40, but as good as we're doing with BWL it's possible, really.
Other game stuff...still no new guild tabard. Still wish we could keep the pink-with-white-bunny-skull one. Guild merger is not doing too badly (though there are still some major issues that need ironing out)--but I think we're getting used to each other, and actually getting along really well. Getting along surprisingly well with one person I used to despise back in the UGA. What a difference being out of that disfunctional alliance makes. o_o And have been very amused at some of the recent Flintlocke comics, and the odd WoW-related stuff popping up in the Sluggy Freelance filler.

And for the real world...ummm. Work hasn't changed much. Been trying to be more productive but morale's still been not so good. >_>; Headaches that I was dealing with last Thurs/Fri as I said really weren't worth missing work for, but have been annoyingly recurring. Been lurking around and flaring up going on 6 days now--definitely allergy/sinus/tension, and either causing or being aggravated by eyestrain. >_< Rargh. Sometimes helps if I can just close my eyes (reduces strain, light sensitivity), which actually would warrant being at home, since it's kinda tough to work with eyes shut. :/ They're not migraines, but they're really close-almost--like what would lead up to one, though I've never had a true migraine. Even have kind of a queasy thing coming and going when they kick in.
Talked to Mom last weekend (poor Ma, she really was rooting for the Seahawks, though she really expected them to lose--this is Seattle after all), need to talk to Dad. Been awhile. :x Saw Gina, Anj, and Kelly last Sat., and watched the end of Witch Hunter Robin (did really enjoy that). This weekend we'll watch more GitS: SAC 2nd season--*joy*~ Though Anj says it's getting cliff-hangery already. >_<
Anyway, not much else. Need to arrange for a dinner out the 14th, gonna be getting together with movie-Don the 17th. Ohyes, and am finally about to do a massive re-haul of my icons (been so bored by 'em >_<). But. >_<; Seems in poring over various communities I've managed to come up with over 100 new ones--so I not only have to majorly weed what I already have, I have to go through and toss a bunch of the new ones before I even get to uploading. >_<; Yeargh. Amazing how a freaking uberton are FFAC ones >_>; Gdi for being so fecking pretty.

...ohyes, found a lovely place for gelato this past weekend >o< And have heard of a second place that I mustmust try (the new Whole Foods, of all things). Yeeeeeeee~<3 Yuppie food ftw.
...and wth is that weird electrical-burning smell? They doing something freaky out on the expansion construction site? >_o?
