Jan. 31st, 2006 12:06 pmThe past week = spending. >_>; Ordered GBA Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing: Wide World (added to Mario Kart DS, Shining Soul II, Trace Memory, GBA FFI/II and GBA IV). Also ordered a couple shirts--the 'spoon in my ear' one finally since wtf seriously Dr.Hobo seems to have been killed off wtf WTF. Also ordered a 'murloc crossing next 3 flightpaths' just because...just amused me too much.
And was going truly batshit insane w/o my iPod, so I grabbed a 30gig video iPod--colored black, and gd is it sleek-looking. Gorgeous, and so many frills, and so much space. Have given my old dead 5gig to Anj to dismantle/destroy to her heart's content. But now need to go back to get an AC adaptor as they changed the connector from firewire to USB2.0 and my old one therefore won't work with the new cable. Did christen it with some stuff from the iTunes music store >_> System of a Down's Hypnotize CD, the Gorillaz remix album Laika Come Home, the Feel Good, Inc. EP (to get the 3 tracks not on the Demon Days CD), Blue October's Hate Me single (OMFG SO GETTING THE CD), and the Faint's newest song Hypnotize. Am truly in music glee.
So yeah. Am definitely spent out on fun money. Dunno why I went nuts all at once. Well, some was necessity, some was 'get it now before it's gone omgwtfgdi'. I do still want to get the GBA Super Mario Bros classic, but have to skulk on eBay for that. Ick. Least I'll finally be selling my old Radeon video card, so that'll bring in a little.
Gamewise, my fps is choking a bit due to the odd Lunar Festival stuff (extra decorations, npcs, quests, etc). It's very modelled off of the Chinese New Year. My toon took a couple days to find all 50 coins (even in instances and horde cities), did the Omen quest, and bought a couple outfits (like I have bank space >_<) But what the hell. Also lucked out in a freaking huge way--completed my Nightslayer set on the last MC run (which was done for the first time in one evening--only 3 hrs 25 min *rocks*) Tho the BWL raid Sat. kind of tanked due to lack of people and bad class balance/representation. Also made inroads on saving for an epic mount, due to a guild buddy giving me some items to AH. About 250g to go--but considering I'm gonna PVP tonight and raid the next few nights, gonna be a bit before I can get to farming again.
Also game related--the merger's gone through, and the group's officially Lunar Chaos (thank god the other bland names didn't get voted in, but too bad the fun suggestions didn't even make the cut for final vote). I love our tabard right now, but it's going to get changed because people suck. I loved the cracked-ness of pepto bismol pink with a bunny skull and white trim rly. >_> There's a lot to still be worked out in our interactions but maybe it'll go ok. Will see. And added a bunch more UI mods--and still have one more I want. Can't keep from fussing with that crap, for some reason. Yay conveniences.
Crystal-cat ended up at the vet overnight for one evening last week--urinary infection, turns out. She seems to be really perking back up, but was kind of uninterested in food this am. But I take her back in to the vet's in a few days when she's done with the antibiotic so they can re-check her. So if she's not back at 100% they'll be able to do something more.
Added a bunch of communities to my watch-list--icon stuff, stuff for FFAC, Wild Adapter, Get Backers, and such. Hopefully I can start finding some decent new icons in all that.
