whitereflection: (roy man who is afraid)
I cannot express how much I don't want to be here today. Which is pretty sad, considering it's only an hour into Monday after a full weekend, when I had a vac. day just last Thursday. Not to mention the fact that this is a short week, so it's not like there's that much time to get through. Dunno if it's just utter and complete work burnout, a side effect of chronic lack of sleep, or if I'm just a spoiled brat who no longer has any sort of work ethic. : /

Anyway. V. tired. Think I got about 1.5 hours of sleep (there was definitely an application of coffee this am). This always happens after a movie night at Don's anymore. Between the fact that getting home at midnight I need time to wind down, the food he gives out always causes indigestion which keeps me up, and eating too much sugar too late--it's just really hard to sleep at a decent time after those visits. Didn't help that I poked my head in-game and there was a bunch of stuff going on with folks, and lack of drowsiness left me more than willing to play and with no desire to leave until they decided they were through. What the hell, it was fun.

Lucked out on a game drop over the weekend, too. The big project right now is for everyone to be assembling fire resist gear--and I got as a random drop a ring that ends up going for 200-300g in the auction house. Noway would I consider selling that either. As much as I'd die for that much coinage, it's an invaluable addition to my gear, something I never would've been able to afford to buy. So, w00t. And I can see why people farm in Silithus. Makes a lot of coin, good loot drops, cloth and items that people need for faction/reputation raising--and all on mobs that are normal, not elites like in Tyr's Hand. Though I still wish to be able to PVP to rank 11 in order to buy an epic war-mount, the possibilities of achieving that are so remote with my play style and amount of attendance at the battlegrounds, that I could see much more raising the 800g for a regular epic mount by farming places like Silithus. Would take a freaking long time, but I think it might be doable. Eventually.

Other than that, got together with folks Saturday and we played We Love Katamari some. Goddanged crack, is what that is. And Don's Sunday was the usual, as mentioned. Happened to catch Family Guy at the end of the movies, and GAH, just died. Twisted, twisted crack show. We all died at Soundwave, but there was a rather pathetic silence from the guys at the Peanut Butter Jelly Time bit. I had to *explain* it to them all. -__- Losers. Gah, but the Disney cracks were precious. (Ohyeah, and something just damned weird... Right in the middle of watching Quatermass and the Pit, got one of those hits-like-a-semi 'ohgod someday I'm going to die I'm going to age and break down and someday I'll die and there will be nothing more' intense bursts of fear-panic-anxiety. From out of freaking nowhere. It was just...incredibly bizzare and weird. I cannot comprehend why I get spells like that. And honestly, what triggers it?)

Btw, TOHO, you freaks, you. I know it was the 60s, but a horrorish monster movie about *mushroom people*? Dudes, I mean, seriously. ^^;;;

Oh, oh right--one last game bit. Ventrillo has finally released a client program for Mac. o__o! I've downloaded it, but can't use it with the others until the server is updated to the new codec (as well as all the PC folks' updating their client versions). But I definitely need to pick up some sort of mic device, whether as a headset or a separate thing. At least I have headphones to listen in. Ok. Shutting up nowz. Really.
