Oct. 11th, 2005 09:11 amOk, so what is the point of this 'tiny text' craze going on in icons? What is the freaking point of having text on an icon if it can't be read? Just so the icon-maker can know what it says? How easy would it be for them to put stupid or obscene phrases on these things, then go *hee hee hee* when people used the avatar because the image looked cool. Well maybe they wouldn't do that, but surely the temptation is there. I mean, come on. If you want a little decorative squiggle, that can be done with just a graphic, it doesn't need some pithy yet illegible phrase in 3pt font. >_< Anyway. I ain't using tinytext!icons even if they look neat--I'm too lazy to go asking icon makers what everything says.
Yay, WoW patch day. -__- Guess I'd better get to dl-ing that soon as I get home, and go through and update all my UI mods. What freaking fun. Days like that it always takes me forever to get signed on then. And the server's already been a bit twitchy; I wonder what it'll be like afterwards. Oh, and it's the beginning of the end so to speak--talent changes for druids go through, so I expect pretty much everyone will be playing one even if just as an alt. They get to be godly, yeah, lucky them. :/ But why the hell have a one-trick-pony rogue in your group, if you can have a warrior!rogue!healer!caster!DruidGod with you? (Or a hunter, who can compete on DPS with a rogue, but be at range and with a pet to boot?)
I've always felt that all the other classes get ways to shine, or roles that it's very important they fill--but the rogue's one specialization anyone can do now, and with less chance of dying. The class was close to becoming unnecessary already, especially end-game, and this just seals it. Maybe they're still useful in PVP, but I don't play that way now do I? I guess the rallying cry of 'nerf rogues!' did happen, just gradually. (And on a side note, I'm godfreaking tired of competing with Mr.ArrogantAsshole of my class in the guild alliance who thinks he's hot shznit, even though his talents/skills/abilities/stats are just the same as the rest of us--he's just lucked into a feckton of epics. Guess that means he's got the bigger wang or something.)
Should have mentioned, made chili for the first time this season Sunday. Yay<3 I loveth fall. (Sunday also got to see Ragefire Chasm for the first time, that was nifty. Had I mentioned seeing Shadowfang Keep the first time Saturday? Can't recall. Very cool instance.)
So. Overslept this am. Usual deal, lovely. But couldn't afford to be that late since I had to be on the 1st Floor Desk, so thus I be showerless and scuzzy. And allergic. Yee.
Our new student worker starts tomorrow. Bright and early, like at 8am. -___- I loves doing teh trainings yes. Blargh.
