Farmed air elementals in Silithus for hours last night with a few guild folks, *still* didn't get any damned Essence of Air. No wonder they're being charged a fsckton for in the auction house. But Silithus is the freakycreepyweird, too many damned bug things and tornadoes. And yet, it is very *cool*. If not a dangerous region.

Got new flat-screen monitors at work, 17" even. Though I think what I wish they'd upgrade more is our amount of RAM. Switching between programs with the number I have to have open just chugs sometimes.

Old buddy of ours is in town tonight and tomorrow, so will be out a lot. Gonna do dinner with 'em tonight, hit the Hitchhiker's movie hopefully (man, I hope that's good...been hearing that it might be otherwise -_- ) Dragging my brother along with. Hopefully Mom'll be able to see the movie out in Seattle soonlike, I know she's been looking forward to it. (Augh, and our other DnD game is Sunday, when will I get WoW time...? T__T ) Speaking of Mom, must figure out when to visit this year (June? Christmas? Something.)

So...has ff.net effectively banned songfics, or using quotes from songs like at the beginning of chapters--or am I misinterpreting? Yeah, I'd like to see karaoke-type fics just die, but come the hell on people. What are they gonna get their panties in a bunch about next? Assholding asshats. (Tho I note pr0n seems to be popping up more and more often again *hee hee hee* so mayhaps policing it all's gonna be too much for 'em like it is regarding that.)

Original fiction

I haven't written much in months, certainly not prose, and even then not anything but bad poetry/lyrics fragments. And I haven't written fiction that's original (ie. not fan-related) in a decade, I think. Anyway, a short scene that's been in my head for a couple years, approximately.
