Seems Bruegger's Bagels is now offering Fair Trade Coffee products (through the company Green Mountain Coffee Roasters). Info here: http://www.brueggers.com/coffee.html And today they're offering a free 12-oz sample cup to customers. Interesting--I've been actually pondering lately if Fair Trade Coffee would truly make an impact if major chains started using it (if only Starbucks would, this would *really* influence the industry). Though I suppose some would wonder what the big deal about Fair Trade Coffee is...

Fair Trade certification means small-scale farmers are paid a fair price to produce high-quality coffee beans. A fair price means farmers can afford better nutrition, education, housing and health care for their families. By receiving a fair price, Fair Trade coffee farmers can also avoid cost-cutting practices that can sacrifice quality. Fair Trade encourages traditional farming methods, which protect the environment and result in exceptional beans.

Ok, soapbox off. Encountered the Radiohead song Karma Police recently, and dammit. Now I realize I need to buy all the Radiohead CDs. But there are like five of them. Five! It's going to take forever before I can have the funds to acquire them all, even used. D: And I still need to find those other Muse CDs that were UK/Europe only releases (Origin of Symmetry and Hullabaloo). Dammit. Give me my music, people D< *flails*
