It's so bright >o

Yay, new(er) monitor at work <3 What I thought was my old one being darker and dimmer than my one at home or the others at work because either of some pc/mac thing or a cheap monitor/nice monitor thing was actually it dying. ^^; Was clued in this am by looking at my LJ icon and going 'holy cats, it's not supposed to be a black square...' Now everything looks really bright and very different--all the colors my software were set on now show up like they were supposed to. ^^;

Supervisor took the day off, which I thought was cool this morning, but now I kinda wish she were here--would love to go home. But I've got our two student workers to supervise until 4 and 5, and everyone else leaves earlier. Crud. D: Would really like to lay down and sleep some more.

Roy Mustang is taking over my icons. Ed is helping him. Little bastards. >_> But oh, this new one <3<3 Look at the water drip off his hair when the first words show up, and tell me that's not just neat. *gadget-graphic geek*

CDs<3<3 Amazon order arrived already, so now have Kill Bill 1 and 2 OSTs, and Muse's Showbiz and Absolution. Verra verra cool. Think I shall listen to while couch-flopping.

Have been getting estimates on tree pruning. Tree pruning. Pruning, I think, is a ancient Sumerian word meaning 'man, you are over 30 now, aren't you?'. Speaking of which, I am reminded again how disconcerting it is to know that my generation, in fact those a decade younger I am, are producing the *next* generation (see Penny Arcade, etc) And it's no longer a bad thing that receives frowny-face news-editorial commentary. It weirds me out even more that there are many younger than I am who have children hitting school age already. I'm so not ready for this...
