Day of reckoning, pt. 1
Dec. 10th, 2003 08:26 amMan, I'm going to be so much happier come...say, 3pm or so. Yeah. Not sure whether I permit myself a small break from studying tonight, or dive back into it again right away.
The snow casualties at work... O_o Cathy can't get out of her driveway, Betty fell, Anj fell and pulled a muscle, Kelly fell and may have a sprained ankle, Susan's got such bad balance with her knee degeneration that she's not coming in... And that's just downstairs, here--dunno what the upstairs folks have been dealing with. Though I bet Becky up there didn't come in, as she lives pretty far outside of the city.
Me, no slippage or commute problems, save on the B Street frontage road--very, very nearly got stuck there. Took five-ten minutes, but was able to power my way out of it. Am annoyed at the bastards that kept darting behind me while I was going backwards/forwards to get through the drift. Not like I expect anyone to get out and help or anything--I did do it on my own, thnx--but criminy, at least two people nearly got their idiot vehicles hit. >_< How about we not drive unpredictably around a person struggling through muck, hmmm? Without *at least* giving them a much, much, much wider berth? Considering that their car might be a bit hard to control and moving a bit erratically due to that whole lack-of-traction-in-snow problem? Gah. Asshats.
Mmmmmm, am reminded that, for the first time, I heard them play Evanescence's My Immortal on the radio. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... *goes sparkling* Dear god, do I hope that gets more play time--doth deserves it. I like it better than Back To Life or Going Under. Man, Amy Lee's voice...just, uwaah! Teh LOVE. If someone gave her to me for Christmas, I would not mind it. >_>
Still going happy-like on Yummi things that certain individuals are working on. *gnaws* And on pretty, pretty (and funny >D) pictures that a certain other individual has done. *gnaws, too* I love having wonderful creative types to worship. *genuflects* ^_^
Hmmmf, should go do things. Bad me, wasting time. *swats herself*
