Hahhh, it of course is when you're running late that you discover, oh yeah, I'm running on less than fumes, and have to stop for gas. Eee. Love being late for work. Just had forgotten when James didn't go out last night that we'd still needed to do that, so didn't plan for it. But I did find at the station that they're now selling those bottled Starbucks frappucino things in decaf. That be happy.

Had a Japanese study night last night with Kelly and Anj. Still don't have my textbooks yet (gotta check the bookstore later this week), but I used Kelly's to look over the first chapter. Must teach myself "Mou, ichi do itte kudasai" (Please say that again), "Yukkuri itte kudasai" (Please say it slowly), and "Yukkuri hanashite kudasai" (Please speak slowly) so I can be ready to use them right off the bat. Also trying to remember "Shitsureeshimasu"--had no idea that was the form of goodbye to social superiors. Must practice that for leaving class--wouldn't want to be rude-like to Take-sensei.

...I really, really, really want this class to be right now. Does it show? Gads, have to wait until the last week of August.

Due to the church's vacation bible school stuff, we aren't even going to try to do the newsletter html stuff tonight after all. Anj's right--the room is going to be used, and the whole place'll be chaos anyway. So. I have time tonight. But you won't see or hear from me. I will be drowning in PoT. DROWNING! *flails about with fangirl determination* If I don't use this opportunity to watch it tonight, I will bonk myself in the head with a rock for being a git. And what's more, also due to the VBS, I am not meeting with Michael tomorrow night--so...more PoT! YES!! BURNING!!! >D Or something. In short: me--PoT, maybe will socialize by Thursday. Harrrr. *very resolved*

Ohyeah, kind of an interesting thing...my supervisor is finally out for her knee surgery, and won't be back for six weeks. Whoa.

Time for the docs desk. Maybe I should use that time to try more searches for blog-able Kaidoh or Inukai images. *ponders*

Goddang, it's been busy out on the Docs Desk today--insane busy. Ngah...!

Found this, tho. It just...seems so very Subaru&Seishirou. Or it does to me. Would make for a very neat poem-fic.

Lord Byron
"When we two parted"

When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted,
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this!
The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow;
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame:
I hear thy name spoken
And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me—
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee
Who knew thee too well:
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met:
In silence I grieve
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?—
With silence and tears.

Yeah.

Also, am reminded that the PoT character songs really are nifty, which continues to surprise me. But the dance mixes--man, those remixes kick much ass. Mucho ass...o. Or something.

Have spent too much time today pondering PoT characterizations. Am already getting twitchy about the over ukefication of certain ones, the ukefication of dyed-in-the-wool semes, and the wtf?-villanizations of others. I can tell I'm building up a small rant on 'Evil!Fuji'. As well as a pondering-querying why Kaidoh is not drawn terribly muscular in the djs (What, does being uke suck your muscles out of your body? ...wait, bad mental image. Ohlordy. >_o Scratch that.) And I have a mental image of Tezuka going to a 'Dammit, I'm a Seme!' convention with the likes of Sanzo, Aya/Ran, Heero, Tsuzuki, etc. And is it me, or is Eiji going to be the next 'bouncing off the walls-on a perpetual sugar high-giddy freak' ala Duo? Ah, fandom, where genki=manic. And of course there's the way characters turn into action figures in fan-fiction, capable of only one trick--look, it's Inui with Scribble in Notebook action! And Takashi, with BURNING! racquet-grabbing action! Tho I am surprised that Ryoma isn't turning into the hidden-Mary Sue du jour (yet)--maybe that's for Fuji and Sakuno (ackgh).

Okay, enough. *smacks herself* Told myself I was keeping it short. Baka desu.

Beware, I indulged in some Greate Stupiditye (you'll understand in a moment) in my desire to write a minor rant. Please forgive my foolishness--I could not resist a bit of Mockerye, Frivolitye, and High-Jinxe. ^^;;

(Imagine, if you will, a newspaper column from the late-1800s. Something incredibly British and upper crust-like. I sincerely apologize for the horrid!!!pseudo-Victorian speak.)

Mrs. Albert Thaddeus Basilsnoote's 'Guide to Elegante and Qualitye Authorshippe: Advyce for Purveyors of "Fanciful Fictionnes"

By Mrs. Albert Thaddeus Basilsnoote, Esq.

[Editor: Mrs. Basilsnoote, a woman of fine quality and genteel persuasion, is delighted to use the "New and Wonderouse Technologie of the Internette" to answer questions on the intracacies of writing. All queries and discussions are welcome. Mrs. Basilsnoote requests, 'No "Flaymes", please.']

Dear Mrs. Basilsnoote,

As a young woman of quality, I wish to excel at the fine art of writing stories regarding a performance I particularly enjoyed. However, there is one character that confuses me greatly, and I seek clarification before I attempt such story-telling. In your opinion, is one F____ S_____ of His-Royal-Highness of Handball evil?

Sincerely yours,
Byr0n'zH0n3yB4by

Gentle Authoress,
To determine whether the aforementioned character is, in fact, Eville, we must be on the look-out for several key traits. First and foremost of which, is the Attitude and Demeanore of the aforementioned individual. In this case, Master F____ S______ appears to be a Charminge and Engaginge gentleman, always wearing the brightest of Cheerye Smiles! So it would seem that he is, in fact, not Eville; yet wait for a moment when he does not believe he is being watched, and lo! The smile is gone, and an Colde and Calculatinge expression does take its place! We thus have the strongeste sign of Great Darkness in the character.

In truth, Master F_____ does possess a personality that is but a mask for another, darker, more Malevolente side. For you see, he is Clever, Calculating, Manipulating, and above all else, Eville! And how might I know this? Take this to heart, Gentle Authoress; for I am an Authore of Great Calibre who has crafted workes these past two and some years, and I have acquired Greate Knowledge during that time. And if there is one thing that I have learnt to be true, is that cheerful persons are Always cheerful, and never, ever do they show a moment of Serious-ness. If they are tainted by a Serious thought or feelinge, it means that secretly they are Not! Cheerfulle at all, but are only Play-Acting at being so. And what reason would they have for Play-Acting at being Cheerye, for assuming such a Masque? Why, to prevent those around them from guessinge that they wish great harm on the Worlde, of course!

And so you see, that Master F_____ is but portraying a Sunnye disposition to his companions, whilst in actuality he wishes them Greate Ille (especially in regards to their Romantique and Amourous entanglements, but I will save such discussions for times in the future). He is at heart but a Shadowed Soule, who lives but to torment others. He will crafte and scheme to bring about such Endes, as will all of his ilk.

In summary, my young Gentle Authoress, always look for these Traites in the "Cheerye" type of performers of Animatede Jollifications and other Theatricalle Eventes: are they ever Serious? Do they show much Cleverness and Witte? Do they ever, at Any Time, show a tendencye of being Calculating or Manipulating, even in the Slightest amounte? Do they show a personality of Strengthe, Fortitude, Determinationne, and Perseverance? If you feel you muste answer "Yes" to any of these queries, then that person is quite Eville! And therefore you should write them as such--indeed, you should make them the Villainne of every work in your reperatoire. For you yourself would never display such traits, would you? You would never have such shadows Blightinge the cheeriest places in your heart, not even for the Briefeste of Moments; as a truly Cheerfulle and Charminge person, you would Always, Always! be Cheerye, would you not? And so, as it is for we Reale Human Beinges, so it is for our Animated Counterpartes.

I pray that this Advyce has assisted you, and that you encountre the Greatest of success in your Writinge Endeavours.

God Save the Queen,
Mrs. Albert Thaddeus Basilsnoote, Esq.

Postscript:
Dearest Authoress, there is but one further iteme that I should mentione. If indeede, you DO in fact Exhibite some of the personality Traites that I have thus listed, do be Honorable and admit that you are Eville, as well. Commit yourself At Once! into the care of the Authorities, so they might remove you to an Asylum of Incarcerationne post haste, for you are a Dangere! to all Familye and Friendes around you!
