Aug. 22nd, 2002 08:05 amOr something like that. Anyhoo, this is just a last quick post before the road trip to Cedar Rapids for AI. I have to somehow get through a half day of work, run a couple errands, then we're most outta here. :)
We're packed, and all the other errands are run (it only took from right after work yesterday until 1:30am, too >_< ). I even managed to get ahold of James' parents and thank them for the flowers they sent me for my b-day--which will probably be good and dead by the time I get back. Ah well. ^^; Unfortunately with being out and about so often, having to call them, and having Kelly call and being chatty for some reason (dunno why, I'm only gonna see and hang out with her today through Sunday), I never got a chance to get ahold of Nix. I wonder if she tried and got a busy signal. *flails flails* I wanted one last chance to talk to her before next week! *flails* Gomen nasai, Nix--I miss you! Dai suki da yo, itooshi! *flails some more for the heckofit*
Anyway, looks like the Macrocosm thing for AI is gonna work after all. :D :D I'm just going to have to finish working on it tonight and tomorrow at the hotel. It doesn't seem to cause too much mess, so it should be ok. I can always drag the foam core board ovals out into the hallway and paint on them out there. I coulda done better on 'em, but they're ok. If I'm to unhappy with final result, I can always redo 'em for a later con--and I've taken the stuff to do my K and Duo costumes if Macrocosm gets messed up somehow. Otherwise I'll be Watari Friday afternoon and Macrocosm on Saturday. Something like that. :)
Egads, I'm still running over my mental to-do list in my head--and my hard copy to-do list is a mess. ^^;; At least James has a list of all he needs to load the car up with before coming to get me. I should remind him to top off the cats' food and water in case Kelly's friend Mary can't get over to check the beasts until tomorrow.
Gah, I'm supposed to concentrate on work how? >_o *hee hee* And to think I'll get this insane again next weekend when I prep to go to Wichita to hang out with Kea over the Labor Day holiday. w00t w00t w00t! XD I'm so damned psyched for that already.
Mmm, hungry...didn't bring in breakfastage. Must go hunt vending machine stuff. Ooo. >D
