Are we surprised that OCLC is still down? Guess I'm not, but I was hoping otherwise. *sigh* Shzt. I don't even have that much book tattletaping I can do. I have to talk to the dept. chair when she comes in, see if there's anything I can help with in another area. Maybe I could shelf-read in Documents or something. I have to staff their desk from 10-noon anyway.

Meh. What a way to start the day. I swear, if I had the vacation time to spare, I'd so just go home. I desperately need more sleep anyway--could use time to just go back to bed. :p

A bright spot of news (that naturally I neglected to mention last night) is that Christine from Mars Music called. They found the last person they needed to fill that class--so I'll start group lessons next Tuesday evening. An hour a week for eight weeks...will be interesting to see what I can learn.

Sprint finally got off their asses and fixed the problem that was keeping us from establishing connection with OCLC (they'd messed something up between our router and OCLC, lovely incompetent bastards that they be). So at last we can use OCLC again--and I can get back to doing real work. 'Bout freaking damned time!

Books I can catalog, juvenile subject headings I can fix, yay. Yeah, it's still monkey work, but more challenging/thinky monkey work than I was doing yesterday and earlier today. :) I can handle that. *ponders* Perhaps I could call it space monkey work, as opposed to regular monkey work. ^^ Eh, or something like that...

"Monkey pushes the button...!" *wanders off, making 'ook ook' noises*

Words cling to my lips,
unspoken; love veiled, I kiss
them instead of you.
