Good lord'n'butter (as Berke Breathed would say in the comic Outland, yay for more references)...left ear is very, very fscked up. Feck. Something. Have a dr. appointment scheduled for early afternoon. Would go for one in the am today, but gotta go to class anyway (have a quiz), so am ending up doing a few hours work beforehand. Can't just show up at UNO and get parking midday...gotta get here early to find a spot, or you're screwed. So. -_- Just get me to 12:30. Sudafed decongestant hadn't worked at all, trying CoTylenol, but ain't helping much...hot washcloth compress at least feels good. Hate ear infections. Haaaaaaaaate.
Don's DnD game was such a bust. Turns out he is having windows replaced, so we got there and the 5x7 bay window in his living room was a 5x7 hole in the wall. Was only in a t-shirt, no jacket, since he hadn't let any of us know--temps were in the upper 40s/low 50s, so ended up having to borrow a sweatshirt from Bob. Wanted to get everyone over to our place for the game instead (we only are 1/4 mile away from Don's), but they insisted the workers would get the 3 window sections installed in a half hour. Three hours later... *flails* Couldn't game anyway, as the noise from the power tools/saws was so bad...was cold, dusty, noisy. I shoulda just left, but was too zorged out by my ear to think straight. So just ate lunch, spaced out/dozed off until the work was done. Even then we didn't play much--mostly talked. Eh. *shrugs*
Other Don did fun old movies--The Thing (original movie) and Them!. Gotta love old monster movies. And he bought Subway sandwiches for us, which was nice of 'im. Wouldna gone since I was feeling poorly, except I knew he was buying all sorts of food for us, and didn't want him to have wasted his money. Also watched another Excel Saga ep, and one of the Simpson's old Halloween eps. Gotta watch this year's Halloween special--looks kickass fun.
...!! Holy cats, it's the 27th, isn't it? Nix's birthday, and I didn't leave her an AIM message or anything... T_T Monkey! If I'm lucky and you're reading this, happy happy birthday, love! Something is in the mail for you, but will be couple days late, because I sucketh that way. *flails, hugs, offers you plushies of The Jar characters*
