Called CompUSA this am, and they said the work on my computer is "almost complete", and that the tech working on it should be calling me this afternoon to come pick it up. I can only hope (really, really hope) that this turns out to be the case. I hope, I hope...
Did go to the zoo Saturday am with Anj, our friend Jason visiting from Florida, and some others (got rained on), then did an Aki's run with Anj. Found that Aki already had the marshmellow-with-chocolate-inside things we found at the con in stock, yay. Watched some of the Ghost in the Shell TV series with Anj and James--and let me interrupt myself and say go, go and download or somehow acquire GitS TV, I mean it. It is really, really good, IMO.
Anyway, did Thai food with Anj, Jason, etc. that evening, then went dancing at the Joy. Was cool, but strangely not crowded. Makes me wonder about the dancing scene in Omaha these days (especially since I've heard that the Max has gone downhill, with a lot of obnoxious and rude college-straights literally driving out the old gay/lesbian crowd). Danced longer than basically everyone else at the crowd (but not long really, only about 2 1/2 hours), but with a little motrin have been feeling fine since then. Afterwards we hung out at Village Inn awhile, and ended up not getting to bed until around 3:30. ^^; Kinda not good since I had to get up at 8, but what the hey.
Was a zombie at church and lunch, but at least we got to see Jason one last time (he heads back home Tuesday). And Don postponed bad movie night to next Sunday, so I got to spend most of Sunday aft/evening sleeping. Yay. ^^; Was awake to watch Food Network's "Disney World: Unwrapped" though, and it reminded me how I want to go there/work there so bad it almost makes me cry. But considering that a)I really want to live in Seattle, and b)I'm stuck in Omaha so long as I'm married, working there's just impossible. Visiting's practically impossible anymore, considering costs and how much harder it it so save now, what with the larger mortgage and all. Eh. Anyway.
Checked the want ads, but there just isn't anything out there I want to do any more than what I'm doing right now. Nothing that what few skills I have would be suited for, either. I should probably just put up with work, and focus on getting a year or two of Japanese, then reevaluate. Just gotta put up with it.
Michael loaned us the soundtrack for the Ah My Goddess movie, and it's really rather nice. Haven't seen the movie yet, but we do have the DVD, so I'll do so soon.
Allergies are extremely bad these past few days. >_< Wish I could use that as an excuse to get out of this region of the country.
*worries about her monkey* I wonder how Nix is holding up...
