Take the Dante's Inferno Hell Test

I have a strange weakness for "The Inferno"--I can't remember for sure if I read it in high school (I think I did...), but I know I've read it several times on my own since college and beyond. I own a few copies, including one where one page will be in Italian, the next with the same text translated into English. I someday need to get an illustrated copy--I forget the name of the artist, but it's majorly 'hanyaan' artwork, lemme tell ya. We have copies here in the library that I've checked out several times. :)

Anyhoo, other news:

Still am sick, but I think I'm finally starting to shake the cold. Which is good, as it's had me missing some time at work--I did half days Friday, Monday, and yesterday, and I'll be leaving a little bit early today. Been sleeping a danged lot, too. Bleh. I have been doing the occasional fun thing, tho--Saturday did a brief walk at the zoo with Anj, then had she and Gina over to watch Iron Chef (Hiroyuki Sakai! Wai! ^^ ) Sunday was the DnD game, and since it just involves sitting around I did go--tho talking/coughing/laughing at Greg kinda hurt my throat. Ah well, I'm croaky anyway, so.... Got to talk with Nix on the phone a bit Sunday evening, so that was cool. I miss my monkey. ^_^

The cat condo thing finally arrived, and they all seem to adore it, especially the three more active beasts. I need to get pictures of them messing around on it. And the game guidebooks and copies of FFChronicles finally arrived, so Anj and I are veddy, veddy happy. *nods* ^^ So I finally took the chance to play just a little FF1 again last night. But I really, really, *really* need to get to FFIV (ie II) on Chronicles, soon. I love that game. I mean, I *big heartmark adoration sparkles* Love That Game. I mean, I've enjoyed VII a ton, and I liked III and I a lot, even if I never did finish them (I will soon, tho, I promise). But IV/II? That...is *MY* game.

It addicted me to FF stuff...it captivated me, enchanted me, what have you--and was one of the few FF games I could complete. I don't know if it was the way they wrote the characters and the story, if it was the challenge of playing but also being able to succeed at it, if it was the music. No wait, I *know* it was a big part the music. That soundtrack gives me chills, videogame or no. Especially the music on the moon (the Lunarians) and the main theme. I can hear it in my head just thinking about it--trippy, otherworldly, ethereal, something that just paints a picture of space. Yeah, so anyway, I like it a lot--it's probably my favorite of all the FF stuff (sorry PCG ^^; ), and I'm very excited to start it soon. I'll make myself finish I first, tho, I think.

Other than that...? Been having lots of nifty thunderstorms lately. 1337 7hund3rz70rm4g3. :D And we found out a bit ago that James younger sister is moving to PA, so we've got to go to a going away dinner for her at our friends' Gabbie & Jeff's place tonight. I hope it doesn't last too long, as I wanna crash early. Am getting my energy back some, but by then I'll be wasted, I think. And well, James' younger sister is *not* one of our favorite people--she's 99% of the time annoying, judgemental, trying, greedy/materialistic, a self-appointed expert at everything, and *extreeeeeeeemely* fundamentalist religious moral majority social-political and thus is really hard to listen to (she doesn't even have opinions of her own, just parrots what her church and radio/tv/news pundits tell her). So we'll go to be nice, and since she is moving, and since she is his sister. Anyway... *shrugs*

Oh, and Sue? You still trying to come up with art ideas? I can make a list. ^^; (okay yeah, so things like wings, lots of hair, the moon, the rain, etc. might be on that list. Heh.). And I covet your B5 season 2 DVDs. *nods* Covet!

*hugs* to Moe--hang in there, okay? It'll be end of May soon, and we can get you a break. Man, I need to reply to comments of yours. Bad me. :p

Aw heck, *hugs* to everyone, why not? Been missing folks again, and will get back in contact soon, once I get some energy back again. :)

Stop getting sick! I'm gonna grab a giant syringe, shrink myself down, and enter into your bloodstream to do battle with the germs in a most shonen manga way.

And because I have to say it. FFIV/II is the greatest. Oh jesh.

And as you say, jesh. Jesh indeedy. >D

Perhaps I shall go to the land of Oz, and the wizard there will grant me an immune system. Hey, that'd work. *hee*
