Been in a moody, withdrawn place the last couple days. Finally broke down and bought something I've been craving--Final Fantasy Origins. I've been promising myself FFAnthology and FFChronicles for ages now, but I keep putting them off...odd since I love videogames, and have missed having games like these to play badly (DDR just doesn't fill the need for an RPG). So FFO was accessible, a good price, and I just...needed something like that today. Have spent the evening reacquainting myself with FF1 from that disc in between doing bills and laundry and stuff. I really do miss games like that...i.e. 'old school' or 'games Diane can actually complete'--and this one is easy enough it's actually relaxing rather than an adrenaline rush. And it's a dose of nostalgia.

I suck for not having been around for people yet again. But I do love getting to play a game like this again. Will be cool to play the Japanese FF2 on the same disc, since that's new over here.

Sounds like the last laundry load is done, so time to go crash. Hope to get more things done around here tomorrow and Sunday, and hope to play FF1 a bit more. That would be cool. Yeah, I'm pathetic that way.

Ack! FFO is out?

*starts digging for some money*

I haven't seen it anywhere, so I didn't know just what was going on with it. I'm sure you'll enjoy number 2. The gameplay is...not so great. But the story and characters are really neat. =3

Why'll you're playing number 1, be sure to stop once in awhile to go back for your fighter should he start laughing hysterically at the Family Circus.

*nodsnods* I have seen it at Best Buy, Toys R Us, and other places here for about 30$. I am liking it far more than I should--tho you have to complete FFII before it will unlock the gallery of Amano artwork. Bastards. ><

Heh, but yeah...and I have to keep an eye on my black mage, lest some sort of stabbity things start happening.

I'll be counting on my black mage to let fly with the hadokens when I reach Chaos. The bastard...every other time I fight him it always ends the same. Everyone but the knight dead, and the knight on his knees. Whoever scores the next hit will win. Either my fighter will hit him and win the day. Or Chaos will be like,

"OMG CURE 4 I GAIN ALL MY LIFE BACK!"
Fighter : "WTF SQUARE YOU SUCK!"

Heh...of course that last bit is what I said when I ran out and bought FF8 first day. >_<;; I never did get far in that game. Gotta remember those hadokens, tho, like you said. I can take the new games kicking my ass...I won't let a refirbed version of an old school game do that to me. Or *stabbity* on Square. >D

*dies* XD

FF8 reminds us that there is a black sheep in EVERY family.

And FF8 is so black it's got it's own event horizon.
