#i think i am the only person in the world #and i mean only person in the entire damned world #who doesn't care about babies or pregnancy #and especially does not care about babies or pregnancy of people i'm not related to or don't know in person #i just...pregnancy and kids don't seem like a spectator sport to me #i get why people are fascinated by sex itself--but i just honestly don't comprehend why people are so fascinated by the ability of other humans to reproduce #maybe it's something to do with my absolute lack of a biological clock

I think that you're lack of understanding the views on babies is something we non-breeders have in common. You've met my "girls", and know how deeply I love them, but I never did understand my sister's having them. It took till the eldest was 6 months old before I could bring myself to hold her due to my intense disinterest in something without the personality that a house cat has. After the mind started functioning, then she became interesting, but never did I feel any desire to go through having an alien parasite embedded within.

You're not the only one... as soon as someone mentions 'baby' or 'pregnant' I think "Gee, we're going to hear about NOTHING but 'OMG it rolled over, OMG it did a shit in a potty' and so forth. I was born with no biological clock and a faulty maternal instinct... give me puppies, kittens, lambs, calves etc and I go nuts, human babies... get them away from me!!

Pregnancy, whether mpreg or fpreg, is pretty much my only squick. And hearing about other people's pregnancy/babies/children is usually very, VERY boring.

Haha, I know what you mean. The only baby in the world that I like it my niece but we're related so it's not like I'm allowed not to like her ;-) But yeah, apart from that I couldn't care less about babies and kids...
