So sometimes you have a fic that's one of your most favorite, is your favorite by that author, and you think that it'll always be your favorite. Then something someday comes along. It hooks you, addicts you, gets under your skin, makes you completely and utterly fall in love with it. And then it ends. And you realize, that favorite has slipped to number two, and something else has taken its place.
