why yes, i'm very mifu
Oct. 30th, 2010 12:25 pmYessssssssssssssss,
wrisomifu is a go for 2010. \o/ For those not in the know:
(Write Something, You Miserable Fuck), a writing group for embittered underachievers who enjoy the company of same, is gearing up for another month of woe and despair! To join, all you need to do is commit to writing (original fiction, fanfic, angry screeds, non-fiction, your memoirs, ransom notes, your thesis, poetry, graffiti - anything!) for at least ten minutes each day for the entire month of November. And you are permitted - required even! - to complain bitterly about every single word.
So excited! \o/ Not sure whether to do both it and
mini_nanowrimo or bow out of mini_nano, but I probably could since I know for a fact I'd be writing past 10 minutes to get my goal of 100 words each day. Just would mean checking in at two comms, but that seems easy enough. Goddang, but
wrisomifu fits my attitude *exactly*. This challenge is like made for me. \o/
If into that sort of thing, they're doing signups by invite until midnight on Oct. 31, also known as tomorrow. But those wanting invite have to comment at either:

Date: 2010-10-30 05:47 pm (UTC)Plus, I've got a bunch of my students on-board for the young writer's project version of NaNoWriMo, so I need to track my word counts for them, anyway.
My personal goal is a min of 200 words per day, average of 500. We'll see if I can manage it...

How come I never hear about this stuff until (almost) late? Oh, that's right, because I'm surrounded by geniuses who don't need substitutions when they can do the real things. I feel so retarded right now.

Date: 2010-10-30 06:06 pm (UTC)This sounds so cool :D Man, where was stuff like this when I was in school? I would've loved that.
Good goals! I bet you can do that *\o/* I'll definitely cheer you on. :)

Date: 2010-10-30 06:10 pm (UTC)But I so understand that feeling--I've wanted to try Nano for years now, but I never do because I've never written that much ever. It's just a given that I'd fail. These sort of little things are the only things I could ever hope to finish--and even those I still might fail at. ^^; When I get in a bad moodswing, even 10 minutes/100 words is like scaling a mountain. So, we'll see, heh.

Date: 2010-10-30 06:17 pm (UTC)Nothing frustrates me as much as when I can't write. I'm no Shakespeare, but enjoy writing and when I can't write, I am so fckng angry.
So I just joined mini-nano and we'll see. I'm thanking you now, for the inspiration, I might want to kick your ass later for frustration. Be ready. :D
