When LJ changes your default items per page from 20 to 10 *AGAIN*, switch it back by going to customize journal style, customize your theme, presentation.
I had to do that right before I went to Otakon. That's when I discovered that my layout wasn't a theme, it was just a 'user' style. I had to rebuild everything from scratch as a real theme.
