Scuzzy! Scuzzy! *flails*

whitereflectionA day that starts out waking up an hour and forty minutes late (Guess who forgot about the alarm clock last night -_-) is never a dandy day. :p Gotta admit, didn't get to work *too* late, tho. Amazing how much less traffic there is at 8:15, and how easy it is to speed when said traffic is so light. The biggest thing that's annoying me tho, is that I already felt disgusting and scuzzy yesterday, even tho I'd had a shower--so today, since I had to skip showering, I feel *hideous*. I mean, "Ew" just doesn't cover it. >p And now I get to look forward to one of *those* doctor's appointments this afternoon--you know, the sorts that have us female types cringing. Ugh. XP
Not much else has been going on. For some reason I've been extremely, extremely tired--enough to have me nodding off at work badly for the past couple days. Dunno if it's going off caffeine, the change of seasons, the pollens/allergens being way up, or what. Whatever it is, I've been crashing early a lot. Spent some time hanging out with Anj and Gina this weekend, tho--we watched some of a new series called Pretear, and it's actually really, really good (despite being a HK sub). Those that like magicalgirl anime should check it out--it's only 13 eps, has a good story and great character development/interactions, and *lovely* character designs. The heroine is really cute and likeable, and the bishounen, oh dear god the bishounen! *DROOLS* Like I said, good character designs. ^^ I'd put it at about the same enjoyment level with Magic Knights Rayearth. I hope to make copies for Nix and Kea & Jenn when I do copies for myself--but the HK sub is *HORRID*, so I may just go looking for a good fansub for us all. ^^
I did make chili Saturday, and a pot roast on Sunday. Don't ask me what it is about the weather cooling down that gets me like this. I think I'm preparing to hibernate or something. *flails* But the best food of the past few days was when we took Anj out to Sushi Ichiban as her birthday present. MMmmmmmmMMMmmm... ^__^ That was just amazingly spiffy. It was pricey, tho. *winces* But hey, a birthday is a birthday, and it was Anj's 30th, so that's extra-special. Just didn't help that we had to take Missy and Tink to the vet for their yearly shots yesterday, plus Crystal to have an infection on her chin looked at (she's got infected feline acne--what the hell? Weirdness. She's so going to love the week of antibiotic and me scrubbing her chin with hydrogen peroxide >_<;; ) My wallet hurts how. *flails flails*
And do I even have to describe the hell of putting three flailing cats into cat carriers, and transporting them across town on a twenty minute drive to vets? Missy was the worst to put in the carrier--she hissed, tried to climb over my shoulder and into my shirt, yowled, etc. Of course, she's the strongest and biggest, too.. -_-; The whole trip sounded like:
Missy: Meeow!Meeow!Meeow!Meeow!Meeow!Meeow!Meeow! (No, I don't think she was *inhaling* at all...)
Tink: Meyooooow! Meyooooooooow!
Crystal: *glowers, occasionally huffs or growls*
And I think Bebop thought he was getting left out of something grand. *rolls eyes* Idiotcat. Egads, and I've still got songs from goofy AMVs in my head. Anj and I can't stop singing the "I'm A Cucumber" song, or quoting bits from the Moulin Rouge one (especially Kero's lines ^^ ) ' "And if someone should happen to die?" *everyone blinks* ' or "It's a little bit funnyyyyyy...this feeling insiiiiiiide..." Heh. Oh right, and "Generally, I like it."
...eh, why am I bothering to make paragraphs in this stuff? I'm must rambling and tangenting all over the place, starting and stopping topics whereeverthehell. Gee, guess today is extra incoherent. *flails* Augh, a further annoyance I just remembered--I *STILL* haven't gotten that Yue/Touya cel! *FLAILS* She hasn't mailed me the confirmation/tracking number from the PO, so that means she still hasn't even sent it yet. I know she's sick, but dear fsckign gods, I paid two hundred plus six shipping for that bastard. It's mine and I WANT IT. *flails* Maybe that's just a drop in the bucket to her--her collection is rife with extremely expensive cels--but this is my priciest one to date, and an extremely meaningful cel to me (like I said before, one of my top four wish list cels). So yes, it's something I consider extremely important, and I would like for her to actually *get* it here, if not also give me some compensation for having to wait almost two weeks, potentially more, for something that should have been here three days tops after I Paypal-ed her. Meh. >< Anyway, enough snarking on that...I should like go work or something.
Ah, but I should leave you with one last bit of wisdom from our dinner with Anj Monday night, when we were discussing a commercial she'd seen:
"Dude, you've got badgers in your pants."
Yeah. ^^
