My aunt's not doing well again, and they're sending her back to the ICU. She's backslid a lot from when I saw her a couple days ago--from sitting on the edge of her bed and talking, albeit slurred, able to eat some foods a few days ago, to being pretty out of it and kind of talking gibberish the last couple days (the last way I saw her), to being pretty close to nonresponsive today. Some gibberish this morning, but basically none at all this afternoon, and not rousing/opening her eyes. Plus getting the tremors like she was getting last week--worsened into outright full body spasms. The doctors don't know why yet--it's not her sodium, kidneys, or some of the meds they'd already pulled her off of. They were doing a CAT scan as Mom and I left, to search out evidence of strokes. If that's normal, I guess they'll be getting a neurologist's assessment. And sounds like they say she's not supporting herself breathing on her own sufficiently, and I don't know if that means she goes back on the vent or what, what with the whole living will situation.

Just...criminy, rollercoaster again. It's so hard to know what to think or feel about it all, with every day so up down up down. Least I got to see my cousin who came in from Colorado, before he goes back home.
