whitereflectionYesterday evening turned out pretty nice overall. James had gotten a small cake from the grocery store and lit some candles on it by the time I got home, and he gave me a book (the Darwin Award)--the guitar and amp of course, were therefore officially my present finally. :) Had a card waiting for me from Lemm (*glompshugs Lemming*), and a really nice flower arrangement from James' parents--that's an annual tradition from them, as is the fact that it never contains any pastel pinks, as his mother is amused at how I don't like that color.
We did dinner at a local seafood place, and I got a call from my Mom. It was quiet for the rest of the evening, basically. I practiced on Unmei a bit (okay practice, not great, but oh well), and kept trying to paint the Macrocosm thing. That's proving to be a bit more involved than I thought, and had me frustrated to the point of tearing my hair out last night--but I'm continuing to work at it, and it should end up ok. I think. ^^; Anyway, got to talk to Kea and Nix a bit, too briefly, but it was good as they helped my mood a lot--as did a bit of Digicharat therapy later. Though I got all flustered again when I realized it was midnight and I'd forgotten to put together the ingredients for the pea salad I had to bring to the work luncheon today. It seems to be a tradition that I'm doing my pot luck contribution at 12:30 in the morning. >_<;; *flails*
Today it's finally hitting me that we go out of town for AI this Thursday afternoon, and my to-do list is *huuuuuuuuuuge* Egads. I'm already going jittery-freaky trying to figure out how I'm going to get everything done. Gah! *flails flails*
And I want to thank everyone for the bunches of birthday wishes yesterday. Typical me to be in a funk on a fun day like that, but all that was most appreciated, and helped much. *hugs to everyone*
Oh, and Bebop is an evil little ADHD cat. But we knew that already, didn't we? *mutters* Knock over my transforming Gundam figure, then spend all night fighting with the other cats, will he...? Grrrr...

Oh, quick question btw--and I should ask Lemm, too. Have you seen the Yami no Matsuei manga, the Saiyuki and Saiyuki Gaiden manga, Minekura's artbooks (Backgammon 1-3) or the YnM Sketchbook and Character book? Anything you haven't seen, I'll bring with me. :)

As of last night . . .
Date: 2002-08-21 10:07 am (UTC)I need time to slow down just to get everything done!!! I pick the minivan up in the morning, then the girls and Lems is meeting us up there. We hope to be on the road early to get to IA around dinnerish or just a bit more but we'll see.
Niece 02, Tay, is looking forward to Fri morning and breakfast because we're planning on going over to the Village Inn, have to have their hashbrowns again!
I've the YnM tankubon's, the Gravi's except last one, the Saiyuki but no Gaiden and Backgammon 1, plus two YnM artbooks but couldn't tell you right now which ones since their home and I'm not. ^__~
You guys drive safe too!!!
