1. Yay! An icon that combines two awesome things: Dinosaur Comics (http://www.qwantz.com/ ) and iconomicon I love DC because it's not about the art--I mean, honestly, it's the same pixellated panels EVERY single day. It's about the crack of the writing. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's not, and sometimes it's just plain odd--and when it's great, the best zing usually comes in the last panel, like that icon. The dude obviously has a thing for Shakespeare which is awesome enough. But to have Shakespeare listen to pirated music--and be teenage-snarky about it!--amuses me *greatly*.

And well, iconomicon is, as I have mentioned before, the best icon community out there. Ever. I check the community weekly just in case he happens to have posted something new (even though I know it's usually monthly :p ). And I really admire the iconist (yeah, I admit it, I've stalked over and peeked at his personal LJ as well)--he's one of those people I both look up to and envy for being intellectual and artistic, while yet remaining down to earth.

2. Once upon a time there was Bleach, and there was Ishida. And once upon a time the Bleach fandom was awesome in its crackness. And and once upon a time--and still upon a time! :O --there was Finny/Fimmeh (finnigan_geist ), who does the best stick figure art EVER (even better than the AZWP guy YES I BELIVE THAT IS SO FIMMEH ♥ ) There is nothing better than a stick figure Quincy in a top hat with a cane smoking a pipe. Nothing.


3. Nyaaaaaar...Axel/Roxas cutscene of wonderful sad beautifulness~ To have gone through KHII and watched the anger and broken friendship between these two--with Axel desperately trying to make Roxas remember--always was such an ouch thing, ending so sadly, with Roxas disappeared back into Sora and Axel sacrificing himself. But then in Final Mix+, they get this cutscene--eating sea salt ice cream up on the tower overlooking Twilight Town. They get a peaceful, bittersweet moment together--and one last chance to say goodbye. And what really gets me, is not only does Roxas dissolve into light (looking so content and happy), but Axel does, too. Axel the Nobody, the one without a heart, who never found his other--whatever next place he goes to, it's not shadows and oblivion.

And in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, as he says goodbye, Axel's crying and a tear drops--again, the Nobody, the one allegedy without a heart, and he's showing a deeper emotion than almost any other character in that game. I don't care if the fandom saw it as friend love or romantic love, this more than anything showed there was such a bond, such devotion between these two characters. I don't use this icon often, but it's one of my favorites.

Right, end babble. My stupid icon obsession knows no bounds. : / In other news, I have wasted so much time this morning. Also, it is Friday. Friiiiiiiiiiidaaaaaaaaay. And poor Anj...it's always the nicest people that attract the worst karma--someone broke into her car last night, and trashed it. Now she's having to deal with police and insurance, and I wonder if this will once again make her look into moving. Thanks to UNO paying *crap*, she can't afford decent neighborhoods, but where she's at now is just fucking dangerous to be honest.

In music news, I found a couple torrents for music from Diablo and Diablo II. Nostaaaaaaalgiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa /rollswallows God, I so wish I could play those again, especially the original Diablo. Too bad I haven't updated my iPod to have those mp3s on it though. Maybe this weekend--am tempted to poke at Amazon's mp3s again.
