AUGH. So restless D: Have all this caffeine/manic energy, and no way to let it out. Stupid desk job. Stupid having to be here all day. Want to be *out* T__T Want to be moving about or dancing or flailing or at least fangirling like crazy with someone (also curse you, lack of IM software DX Email/LJ comment fangirling is just too too slow).

Moo. T___T So not going to be able to focus or concentrate today. Wish I had someone to be distracted with or who would entertain me. :x Sucks extra much that by midday I'll lose this caffeine buzz, and by the time I am free to get out of here, I'll not be wanting to do any of that moving about. Stupid work sucking all the energy out of a person. Stupid laundry and bills waiting for me when I get home.

...maybe I shouldn't be listening to Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! music when I'm feeling like this. D: Might be making it worse. (Shanghai Honey... >.< Must resist dancing about >.< ;; Must resist...)

Mental note to self: quit forgetting to share Snakes on a Plane song with guild. >:|

[Edit: Also, what the heck is this fic drought? I'm part of so many communities, and I keep joining more, and there's still almost no fic out there. DX Going mad with want for reading...and doom for wanting to read something longer than a drabble. Multichapter something, must find somehow >< ;; ]

Drabbles drive me nuts. Almost as much as song fics. I know that they're good practice, but lord do they clog up my ficverse.

And good, multichapter epic fics are SO hard to find. ;-;

Thing is, many people don't use drabbles as true practice. They use them as "ZOMG I CAN WRITE TOO 2 MINUTES DONE!!" and don't seem to understand the concept of someone wanting a piece that actually takes time to think through and savor. Maybe they're ok for a moment-in-time piece, but hard to get any sort of plot in them, much less real character exploration and development. Fie on them. >( Fie!

Must admit, I always had a weakness for well-done songfics, but 99% were far from well done. : / I tended to like 'one line or two of lyric, paragraphs of text after', but almost always other people were like 'line of lyric line of text line of lyric line of text' and bleh. Of course, places like ff.net freaking out about it somehow violating copyright seems to have helped kill 'em off anyway.

I'm so picky D:

Yes.... the infamous- 'write moar get more reviews!' Super huge plot and in depth stories in a fic gives me a huge hard-on. And that's an amazing feat! And I adore character exploration that doesn't make everyone get weepy. Oh... where have all the good fic writers gone. ;-;

And I don't have a problem with a songfic that uses the lyrics for enhancement.. but yeah. What you're talking about with the one line on one line off? Oh, suck.

And picky is the only way to be. :D
