whitereflectionI'm awake. Yeah, really. Maybe if I say it enough, it'll be true. Gd 2 hours of sleep. Just couldn't wind down. And no coffee this am, plus no money for such, not even for machine type. Not that I should have caffeine anyway. My complexion's a mess, and mom and her camera will be here Thurs. Effing stress and hormones and last week's caffeine and eff.
Speaking of stuff after Thursday--so mom flies in, and tons of stuff to do Thurs., Fri., and Sat. for Dave's graduation. Tons. And tons of stuff to do beforehand. Still don't have a gift for him, or any idea of what to get. Eff. So gotta get that, a couple extra pillows/cases at Target, do like four more loads of laundry, make up the spare bed, get caught up on bills stuff...dunno what else. Stuff. Probably some last minute groceries. Gargh.
But what the freaking hell to get Dave. Also, eff it's almost Mother's Day, must order things for both. Even though Mom's in town right before, I think she'd still most want an Amazon GC.
Anyway. What else. Stalkery fun in guild. :/ Norly. I think I mentioned previously someone who was being too friendly--all lovey like he was one of my closest buds despite being a complete stranger. And telling me about listening to me on a friend's Ventrilo and thinking I was so cool, and saying I'm his favorite rogue, and all-caps lovey stuff that creeped me the hell out in private tells. And mentioning reverse lookup of my phone number from the guild contact list to find my real name. :/ It'd cooled down--I recall mentioning it in rogue chat but hadn't said the person's name. But then it all started up again. Then the nit used the night elf language in guild chat to say I was sweet as hell, and other stuff so I knew it'd all started up again (though one of the other rogues could read the sweet thing, and made the connection that that was the person I'd mentioned bothering me). Anyway, finally talked to my class lead, who talked to the guild officers and gm. The gm immediately confronted the guy and instructed him to quit--turns out the guy'd been doing this to other female players in guild, and this is now his 'last warning'. And he has stopped all that so that's good. But it was making me extraordinarily uncomfortable while it was going on. Weirdo.
Other weirdness...near 2 weeks ago, had the left half of my left hand go to sleep. Like pinky finger then ring finger, then the whole left half of the palm. Stayed that way for a week, then I went to the dr about it. She claims its not tendonitis or carpal tunnel, just 'something strained in the elbow that's swelling and pressing on the ulnar nerve'. So she didn't do much other than whap on my arm with a rubber hammer thing and poke at it, and an xray of the elbow, then tell me to wear a tennis elbow armband and take motrin for awhile. I must admit, I am starting to feel some minor improvement, but I'm still getting periodic aching in the elbow and wrist, and that side of the hand is still somewhat asleep/numbed. But we'll see how it goes--she seemed to think it'd be another week from tomorrow before I'd be seeing real improvement. I've been taking periodic keyboard breaks in the evening, and last weekend was so busy it kept me away a lot; this weekend will be much the same. So that should help I imagine.
Also: we now have a bird's nest above the garage door flood lights, and in fact have had a robin nesting there for a couple weeks now. :O I keep meaning to get a picture (mental note, recharge camera battery gdi). And when driving into the garage last night, the adult was out of the nest and I swore I could see little baby bird heads doing the 'feed me' thing. Just when I walked close to see, they must have ducked down. And the adult was in the nest again this am so I couldn't tell.
What little game-age I've gotten in...at least I've kept up with raiding. Major incursions into AQ40 have been made--last week we got down Sartura, the bug trio, and Fangkriss, though I missed the return this past week where they also made some great first attempts at Huhuran. BF pants finally FINALLY dropped for the first time ever last night, but I passed to a fellow rogue, since they have 7/8 of the set and are there more often than I. And they are in the top 2 of damage usually, whereas I suck. Of course, naturally the only raid I get to do this week is yet another trip to MC/Ony (just did that last night, gargh), since I'll not be around Thurs. or Sat. Least I'll be there Monday. Now to see if I can farm a NR helm off Gyth in UBRS when I get a chance to play Sunday. Also...tiny bit of levelling on Nin, up to 41. Still no SM or Uldaman. But did max out cooking and raise enchanting a little and fishing a good bit.
Read ficcage at lunch yesterday b/c I really, really needed it. Previously I'd read sublimeparadigm's Bleach stuff, and really loved it--but I finally checked out her PoT section. Just hadn't been in the mood. But her ShishiTori 30k fic--OMFG. Such...such love. *Flails!* Gd, it was *nice*. And then I remembered Kat mentioning this person writing Yummi too, and when I finally checked it out, realized it'd been the post-Fuji match fic I'd *ALWAYS* hoped to find. All this time, it was out there, and I just hadn't known it. *flails!* So yeah, excellent, excellent writer. Hope she does more soon :x
Other than that...mental note to grab some icons of the Bleach icons community--finally saw a few that looked cool. Maybe I should do that now.
Also: hate work. So much. Just finding it hard to find something else because I have no idea where to start or what I want to do. But so much that's fucked up here and I can't believe how much they're going to keep hurting workers more and more the next few years. It's just incomprehensible.
[Ed: Oh, haha, finally out of the blue got some of the Black Books torrents to work. First series went fine, as did second so yay. Third series got partway through, then all the seeds and peers disappeared so it just stalled. :/ Guess I should have restarted it while I was at work. Maybe tomorrow. Not that I'll have time to watch anytime soon, though.]
