One broken coffee table later... ^^

whitereflectionOkay, so crap coffee table #1 busted some time ago (I'd gotten two really old ones from Dad a while ago...and yes, this is the coffee table I'm still intending to paint--just gotta finalize my design). Now crap coffee table #2 bit it last night when Anj pushed against it--snapped the leg right off, whoops. ^^ It was so falling apart, but we still had a tough time getting her to quit apologizing. I may paint the second one, too, if I can disassemble it down to just the top.
Got a couple new coffee tables at KMart (or is it Big K now? Oo ), as they're having a closing-store-clearance sale. They're solid wood, so they're cool for the fact that they were hella-cheap. But..."some assembly required"...! *shivers* I ph34rrr... *flails* Being in that store, though, was like another circle of hell. I'm traumatized. >_o *twitch*
Then we went to NE Furniture Mart's discount store--and we had *fun*. *evil grins* Two tall oak bookshelves, two computer chairs (both of ours are basically trashed), one verdigris metal birdbath, and two patio benches (one for the enclosed porch, one for the covered front porch) later... :D :D The patio benches are also some assembly required (*ph34r ph34r ph34r >_<;;; * ), but I bet we could convince Anj to help--give her a chance to use anything resembling a tool to build something, and she's happy. Yes, she's occasionally stereotypical, but I adore her like that. ^__^
My new computer chair will be nifty--it's a high-backed executive one, with burgundy leather. *drools* It was *cheap* since it was a floor model. I dig it. :D Gonna be hard not to say "engage" when I sit in it. Heh. They should deliver it all next Saturday--and then I can finally finish unpacking the books (at fricking last!)
Started showing Magic Knight Rayerth to everyone last night--was supposed to be the CardCaptorSakura movie, but lo, Anj's DVD was copy-protected (godd***it!! ><;;; *flails* We need to get a TV we can plug the DVD player directly into... At least Katherine says she'll have us over to watch it on her player soon...) Reminds me I need to buy the second season of that--I've still only seen the first season, and I *have* to finally see Lantis and all them Clampbish animated. :D Katherine rather likes Zagato. This is no surprise. ^^ (Ashram's looks with Akio's voice, yeah he's her thing.)
Ohyes, and many new mp3s. :D I dl-ed about 45 songs the past couple days, including many DDR tracks. *bounces around happily* Cool-ness! ^__^ My music fetish is somewhat appeased. (somewhat. ^^ ) ...I still need to make everyone listen to System of a Down's Bounce, ATWA, and Aerials (yes, I am *still* obsessing on those songs. No, I will not shut up about them. Yet. ^^ )
Thunderstormy out there. Nifty. ^______^ Hm...YellowDi needs food badly. Shutdown babble.exe and begin acquiresustenance.exe.
