Making every stupid stupider.

So for the past several haircuts, I've had this one bit that keeps going wrong. I'd look down (like to read or to look at something on my desk) and boof, it falls over my bangs in front of my face (it never used to do that), messing everything up in the process. I mentioned it to the gal who does my hair this past Saturday, and she messed with a little. But not enough, you know. It's been doing it still, and it's been really, really, really bugging me the past few days.

So I know it's really stupid to ever mess with your own hair. It's just dumb. I've always sworn I wouldn't, because I knew I would screw it up. Swore I wouldn't. So yeah...like I had a freak out-spazz attack this am at work, went to the bathroom, and started in on it with a pair of scissors. Now...not like that part looks *horrid*. But it sure doesn't look right. Like I took what kept going wrong before, and making it lay wrong in an entirely new way, as well as making it stick out some and look just off in the process. If I keep my bangs combed, it kinda blends in. But not really, if someone looks close enough. Close enough, it looks choppy. Too short in some spots, and not layered. And, you know, stupid.

Not worth trying to go in again, though. It's only a small bit. And it's ignorable, so I will, until later in the year when I'd normally get a trim again, after the weird bits have had a chance to grow out some (my stylist is going to be gone for a bit on maternity leave, anyway). Then I'll get to explain how I fscked up, and have her clean it up and layer it back in right. In the meantime, I just smack myself hard, really hard, for being a damned dork, and write "I told you so" in giant letters on my forehead.

So, yeah. Bit of an object lesson about 'digging yourself in just a bit deeper' or 'twisting the knife', or some such. *smacks self in the head* Moron. Doooooooooork.

As a fellow-always-long-hair-wearer I can tell you that no one else ever sees the lumps, bumps, frizzies and fly-a-ways like we do. No matter how disobedient it's being. So don't worry about it too much, think of it as quirky in an artistic way and laugh at it when it intrudes. You're cool, you're ecclectic. ^___^

And trust me, nothing you did can ever rival when I was so dirt poor I used to give myself my own trims. Upside down in the shower. ~shudders~ It always looked straight upside down. Never made it on the flip side though.

~hugs and clings back~ I won't even get into how lonely and adrift I feel not being able to get together with you, or anyone else at that, these days. 'Cause that's just depressing and I don't have the spare energy. ~quirks a smile~ I swear to god, one of these days I'm going to manage to reclaim my life. No, really, I'm not just making this up.

Well, after my new haircut two weeks ago, I did quite the same XD... the right side seemed too..long to me, so I just cut some strands. But now, the left side's too long, and I .. nya, I don't care anymore XD. It's a somewhat mullet-style-layered-wild-ish-mop <_<... you might see it when the photos are developed X3
