And on the other extreme...

Ohyes, Di wakes up grumpy. And holyfsck allergic. Legs are still in pain, but is manageable--last evening they were agony, so yeah, improvement on the lactic acid front.
So, right, did a 2 1/2 really tough hike with Anj yesterday am. Fontenelle Forest's more remote trails are a lot more challenging than their near. A lot more steep and hilly, a lot more narrow and rut-like. But we saw much bird and insect-life, as well as squirrels, deer (Anj saw two, I only saw the one) plus one faun hiding by a log, coolest f-ing thing ever, wild turkey (one male who kept puffing up and displaying, and a bunch of females that I guess were his turkey-harem-flock thing), and a toad. Anj was literally devoured by biting insects (despite repellent) and she gets welts from that--I got one mosquito bite. She's tasty, I guess. So humid, warm even early, so we were absolutely soaked when done walking, not to mention reeking of bug repellent.
Did a Sushi Ichiban lunch w/ Kelly, too, and that was decent. Also hit Aki's and the grocery store. Watched Laputa (realized halfway through we were watching the HK version when I had a perfectly good commercial release copy sitting nearby, duh), then did the cookout. So was all cool. Except for the pain thing and me being too much of an idiot to take motrin until I was hurting that bad.
Today will be getting my hair trimmed, getting Crystal to the vet for annual stuff, and my neglected laundry and bills. Then getting together with the others again in the evening. Have discovered that tomorrow afternoon is when Take-sensei wanted us to come over to learn how to do the tamago-omlette things (like for the sushi-style presentation)--so then I'll have to dart from that to Don's in the evening. Am feeling grumpy about how damned busy my weekend is turning out to be. But ohwell, right? Just going to be Monday before I can work on more housecleaning stuff, and I still worry about losing my momentum on that, even if I am a lot closer to done.
But *fsck* are allergies kicking my damned ass this am. Must be a reaction to everything yesterday.
