whitereflectionFinally scored my PS2, so Mom, Dad, and various others have now 'gotten' my my Christmas present. Woo yeah. Also got a memory card, natch, and a second controller. And since I'm the sort to prefer quantity and don't care if something's new so long as it works, I picked up a bunch of used games. Got Kingdom Hearts (plus a guide and disc of codes), Wild Arms 3, Tekken Tag Tournament, MGS2: Substance, and GTA 3. Also got Final Fantasy Anthology, the original MGS, and FF9 for my old PS, for the heck of it (used and cheap = why not). Meant to get Guilty Gear X or something like that, but forgot until I got home.
Tried WA3 and the Tekken one a bit, both were keen, though seven rounds of Tekken and my left hand wanted to cramp. *scratches head* Guess I'm outta practice. Though I guess I'm gonna have to pay better attention to time and not do the 'whaddoyou mean it's 12:15?' doubletake like that. >_o Tired now.
Wanted MGS: Twin Snakes, found out it was only for Gamecube, which I don't have and never likely will. Hence the used older games of the series. Magazine said there's some sort of MGS 3 coming out in fall, maybe I'll get if I do ok on the older games. Still thinking someday about FFX, Devil May Cry, stuff like that--and will take game recs.

Also, don't forget that PSOne games play on a PS2, as do regionless DVDs.

Save up for the network adapter, some extra ethernet cable, and FFXI so you can play with me? >D C'mon, it'd only be 200 dollars~ XD; (Network A: 40, FFXI + HDD: 100, Ethernet cable: coupla bucks? OR expensive depending on length. >_>; )
Oh! You should track down an RPG called Shadow Hearts if you can, it's really good, and look into the .hack games, there's 4 of them, they're all good. ^_^ Make sure you start with #1. XD;
And yes, there's MGS 3: Snake Eater coming out. Oh! Try out some Resident Evil games if you can find them. XD Most of the older ones anyway...the new one, RE: Outbreak, is made to be played online (Which I'm also getting) but I played the import and it's actually pretty good offline too.
