a moment on a Saturday

It's still a bit startling to consider that even at the beginning of this week, we were still planning on a funeral today. But now there's not one--still have parts of my mind that still can't quite bend around that fact. Amazing, amazing. Anyway, the brother's in town with his girlfriend, as they'd already booked the flight in and figured they'd just turn it into an excuse to visit today. Will be a crowded day today, I imagine--I think my younger cousin's bringing her kids up as well.

Least my aunt's making a bit more sense again, since they took her off the Haldol. Though there was an interesting moment when her surgeon stopped in, and she told him she was frustrated because her body was so weak and she's having such trouble moving around (her physical therapy right now involves simply her sitting up on the edge of the bed). And he outright told her, "Well, that's because you nearly died. You got as near to dying as a person could get." I'm not quite sure if she really *understands* that yet. He and we may keep having to tell her, so that she'll be patient with herself and recover well, and not be too frustrated that she can't bounce up and walk out to go home *right now*. I wonder when she'll start asking to go have a smoke again. >_>; That should be interesting. Because yeah, noooot happening. But yeah, the surgeon also told her, "The whole hospital's talking about you." Might be an exaggeration, but all of her doctors are saying this is something they've heard happens, but had not in their careers ever seen for themselves.

Anyway. Finally finished listening to Muse's The Resistance CD, did so a couple times. Really dig it, and will probably listen a couple more times when I get a chance to figure out my favorites.

Finally, *finally* found a wallpaper of the boys I liked, after months of poking around (one by awakencordy at threelayers). And now I'm like in lust with my desktop or something. >_> It's distracting. ( Guh.*¬* )
