the squirrels are not what they seem
Feb. 3rd, 2009 03:30 pmI can't seem to keep up with the posting thing anymore. Which is odd considering I was a wall-of-text nearly every day poster a matter of months ago. I still haven't decided if it's still an ongoing depression thing, if it's still some sort of odd LJ aversion because of the shit of last year, or if now that I can't mess about at work I just don't have/don't make the extra time for it. Or a bit of it all, I suppose, maybe.
In general, not much has been going on. Nothing major has arisen other than now-ancient Crystal cat requiring 5 teeth extracted in addition to her usual thyroid/kidney monitoring bloodwork, which was a good $900 in one week. Though Mom insisted on helping out the "grandkids" by giving a bit extra in addition to her usual rent (this is where I learn my stubbornness from, I'll once again say). Realized that I first saw Crystal at that old new age shop when I was 17, so considering I'm 35 now...yeah, that's definitely a 20 year old cat, probably 21. Old cat is old. (Least there's almost no teeth left for her :p Yet she'll still toss back dry kibble in addition to the wet prescription food).
Nothing new on the social front--usual DnD gaming, occasional Saturday get togethers with Anj and Gina (havent' seen Kelly in eons), movie nights at Don's. WoW is still WoW, nothing different there. It still remains the only place I seem to succeed at accomplishing things. Rather wishing the new Apple towers would come out. Have a couple years of moneys saved, it would really help as my performance chugs more and more.
Not fanning on anything new, though for awhile I wasn't reading anything at all (now am re-snooping at some Roy/Ed stuff, still poking at the occasional Yugioh fic but as always there's very little worthwhile). Am in a huge music rut--I still haven't gotten anything that's been on my want list for months, can't seem to motivate to do so. And nothing new is really grabbing me. But I'm craving finding something, just don't know what it is. I really shouldn't be bored of a 38 gig playlist. But I am anyway.

Maybe this week I'll post a 'why I suck at my job' along with a 'why my job sucks' (which really boils down to 'I am paid near nothing and have no benefits and 95% of people fail at handwriting and filling out order forms yays'). It would give me a goal. :|
Oh oh, yes! Almost forgot--one thing has managed to pique my interest of late. :o The movie Coraline opens this weekend, yesssssssssssssssssss. Might actually get my fat butt to a theater for that (last time I saw a movie out was Ironman :p ).
