Currently waiting for the guy to arrive who's going to be giving an estimate on replacing the upstairs tub wall. Crossing my fingers it's something we can afford without cleaning out savings. Really needs to be done--the musty/mold smell from the closet where the behind-tub panel is is really pretty gross, and I worry it's triggering my and Mom's allergies/asthma.
First day at work today. Not going to be too bad, all in all, though lunch in 15min is kinda quick, and the chairs only pretend to have padding. Looking forward to getting the hang of it, as they allow headphones, and that's when I'd start using 'em (just up and down asking questions too much, atm).
Crystal-cat needs to have the subcutaneous fluid injections now, but less of an amount that Bebop. So two cats now, every other day. And she's got to start on a weekly injection of something called erythropoecin, which means one vet trip tomorrow to get the vial and show us how to do the injection (not much different from the fluid injections, and just a small amount), then a trip next week for blood work to make sure her rbc count is closer to where it should be. Then we'd do the injections. It's a bit overwhelming, at the moment, because it seems like we do so incredibly much for these cats, with the specialized feedings, and all this specialized medical care. And Crystal's 19 as it is. But going to try it, and I'm sure as I get used to it it'll seem like less of OMGSOMUCH (and how can I complain about the feeding when Mom oversees that so much now?).
Anyway, estimate done, and in the ballpark of 1500, which let me tell you is a *lot* less than the windows were, and less than I thought it'd be. And should be done by end Oct/early Nov. I will be *incredibly* happy to have it done. Just gotta put up with that ugly mold smell for a month.
