Apr. 24th, 2007 05:58 amSometimes I boggle, truly. Crystal cat is 18 years old (estimated). A good pound underweight, too, despite our best efforts. But she still. keeps. going. *shakes head*
Seems this all was a gland that'd abcessed and gone bad. They had to do a surgery to clean it up, and kept her overnight for us to pick up later today--loaded her with antibiotics, and they say she should be fine. Seriously boggling. You don't have an underweight 18 yr old cat that's that sick and bleeding and hear later 'she'll be fine'. Man.
Also the vet says what Bebop did was actually not unusual, as there's a smell that freaks them out. Still doesn't set well with me, but it sounds like now she's cleaned up, he shouldn't keep doing it.
Doesn't make me feel better about work, but least it's a start. And really leaning toward calling in. Throat's all sore anyway.
