Beta *fun*...

The other night Blizzard did a test of a server split (specifically of my beta server, Hellfire) and remerge, in the hopes that it can be used to control server populations live-side. Everyone was given a choice, do you want realm 1 or realm 2, those that didn't choose were assigned one--with the alleged plan that guilds would be kept together.
First HAHA of this all. So things are down Monday, and Tuesday, and going on into this morning. People have been bitching on the beta forums. But 10ish this morning, one of the Blizzard community mods pipes up in a reply to one thread: "No one's seeing the servers?" Two days. Of people bitching. It takes them two days to realize people dont' have the servers on the server list, so they can't log in. Did they not notice say, no populations on these servers?
But second HAHA. So I finally log in tonight. I am entirely separated from my guild. ALL of them are on Hellfire. All of my toons are on Netherstorm. What was that about keeping guilds together, yeah?
So unless they do a quick fix to this remerge not having worked (and I doubt they will, they'll dork around for days and then beta will be over), I'm screwed out of guild activities and seeing more stuff unless I do random pick-up groups. That's not the point for me. I wanna hang out with my buds. And this happens just as the absent folks start to trickle back in.
Don't think I'm going to take off any work to mess with it when it goes live the 16th. It'll all just be a hellacious mess anyway, this just reminds me. But man, it's going to take so long to get up to lvl 70 for real, especially if I'm starting at 1 with some new characters--I'd hoped to see more 70 stuff with my friends before beta finished, since it'd be so long until I could get back to it. Oh well, I guess. Just is annoying.
