Sasu-rogue's adventures exploring Outlands (which is GORGEOUS, oh the skies alone will make purchasing it worthwhile. So a sucker for space-scapes). Also of a good chunk of time on my Draeni shaman. Music in both areas is just...wibble-worthy. So *so* looking forward to nabbing the soundtrack, please let my order for a collector's ed go through so I get the CD (amongst other things, like the artbook).
The Draeni capital city, though...acid trip, yeah. Also arranged like a snarl in a blender. They'll need more guards, because no one's going to be able to find their way around, and will always need directions. Not that people ever ask guards anyway. I swear, a player could be standing next to a city guard, and will spam a general chat channel with beggings for directions to somewhere.
Am also noticing how incredibly *often* people ask 'where this where that how do I' in the general channels. Which...c'mon, we're doing starting area quests, like under level 10, even under level 5. It's not hard, not even for me and I suck at this. I just wander around until I find things, and I have yet to have to ask for help (been playing solo)--I mean, the starting areas are small, and easy. How inept (or impatient or lazy) are these people anyway? They're most likely the same folks who whine and complain about things in the game, and don't file bug reports or suggestions like we're supposed to (because it's like, yanno, a beta testy thing :| Nowai.)--or are the same folks that are *shocked* every time there's disconnects, crashes, or server restarts on something that's just out of alpha. ...n00000000bs. (Halp me I'm turning into a MMORPG elitist augh).
Am amused though, that I spent the entire open beta of the base game and only got one character to I think maybe level 9? Couple days of this beta, and I've got two to 10? And could easily have both to much higher, I think, if I weren't exploring cities and maps in such obsessive-compulsive detail--and if I weren't screenshotting every five steps. :| Indeed.
Also also--I still love it when the usual him takes a good look at my monitor screen when he comes over to talk to me about something. I should have minimized this to give him a good look at Kat's ByaRen lick-smexing pic I'm using as my wallpaper. Or should have asked if I should move so he could more easily read what I was typing. :|
