Things of note
Sep. 15th, 2006 01:01 pm1. Pumpkin spice latte/pumpkin cream cheese muffin - Is it wrong to have been muttering "I luff you too, little pumpkin spice latte" while I was drinking it?
2. To be honest, I hadn't been into Starbucks until this week since maybe...winter? Or early spring. Not that one at least, I think I'd been to the one near work a couple times in the interim. But before that, I was definitely in the Starbucks-near-me often. So when I wander in this morning, one of the gals behind the counter said "Haven't seen you in a while!" and she even was like "I should remember your name" when going to write on the cup and was all "Ohyeah!" when I told her. Now that just trips me out, but also makes me grin. I mean, that's what being a regular--and not even a constant regular, one that was like a couple-several times a week--is about. Months later, people *remember* you, and that feeling is really cool. Especially since it's not just one of the coached ways of making connections with a customer. I don't think I'm that recognizable or stand out that much either (except for length of hair perhaps). But still, being remembered makes a person feel a little bit important somehow.
3. Lunch out with work folks - for Anj's birthday, place was ok but most importantly had artisinal chocolates. :o Also, oh man, you should have heard the workplace-venting and all the dirt being discussed. Was a bit more amused than I should have been, but from our loud laughter I obviously wasn't the only one.
4. F R I D A Y. Yes.
5. Sleep last night o_o Seriously. Dozed a couple hours on the couch, then five hours sleep :o Scary. Helped along by the fact that some sort of emergency software problem had our server cluster most crash-ed all evening.
6. Tomorrow evening shall see Kelly's two new kittens :o :o They're a few months old, but that's kitten enough for me. ♥
7. Also...Axel T_____T No, I haven't played KH2 (yet--I refuse to pay full price for a game I'll suck at. Same withVincent May Cry Dirge of Cerberus) But I spoiler myself as always and read much fic and watch video clips. Axeeeeeeeeeeel T_______T Poor Axel and Roxas.
