Aug. 28th, 2006 12:35 pmTeh iPod is updated and I am VERRA HAPPEH with it all. More and more in luff with the Porcupine Tree and new Muse stuff I acquired this weekend. Now need to go find other PT stuffs on Amazon, since the iTunes store didn't have all their CDs. And good day to have new music, as otherwise I'd be fucking wacking out. In a kind of odd mood, you see...
And in a very I Told Them So or at Least I Thought It moment, had more water leakage in the Library due to rain last night. This time was in the northeast corner of the building, in the expansion area. Not sure how big it was, but I get the impression it was again a very large pool of water (happened sometime during the night). This time sounds like it was one of the new drains in the outside courtyard area not working right. The I Told You So comes from the fact that they have steeeeeeep slopes down to this courtyard area which some of us from previous homeowning experience have learned is a major don't-do-that as it causes Bad Drainage From Hell. So, really, professional architects and landscapers should fucking know better, don't we think? This building is so fuckin' doomed, I tell ya.
Don's game was the usual yesterday. As for WoW, raid once again faltered, half because we started sucking on Ossirian and never recovered, and half because the server lagged and crashed and crapped out repeatedly yet again. Posts on the forums indicate that Blizzard is stating that of all servers, Alleria is having some of the worst problems since patch 1.12 and *they don't know why*. Insert hysterical laughter here, really. Also fucking amuses me in a wrong way is that we're supposed to somehow locate the source of the problems for them by reporting to them exactly what we're all doing when the lag and such hits. Ohyeah, that's what we're all paying them each month to do, have to troubleshoot for them. But yeah, addicted and so am not willing to give up on the game. I'll keep paying and playing until it's all totally hopeless--it's one of my few ways of being optimistic, hoping that they'll finally get it together and fix it all. AHAHAHA.
Weather is brilliant outside, and by brilliant I mean cloudy, cool, breezy, and drizzly. ♥~ I love it so, and would be out in it if only I wasn't saving vacation time.
The supervisor is back off vacation. Eh. Am hoping our dept chair follows his tentative plan and goes on vacation next week. More and more he grates on my nerves. Would kill for the chance to go find something to read, though my communities are kind of all dry on fic again and I can't think of any other fandoms in which I'm really interested in going to search for more. Bleh, don't want to raid tonight--don't want to face the lag/dcs again (easier to deal with when I'm dinking around on a low alt), and it's kind of my odd way of dealing with being lonely-ish and in an off mood, to want to go play on my own. >_> Yeah, I know, makes sense.
