Mar. 30th, 2006 03:42 pmAUGH DX Tornado warning DX It's not expected to hit the city--allegedly gonna skirt west, but ZOMG DX Kicks that whole phobic thing up just a touch. DX
(Nice tho, to be at home to deal with it. Was feeling like carp due to weather/extra dust kicked up due to pulling old periodical volumes for removal, so came home early afternoon. But DX no napping now. Too busy panicking. >< )

Mar. 30th, 2006 05:10 pmWhoof, storm drahmaz is done :x Well, since about 4:20, but was still so rattled I called Dad for a bit. But yeah, first warning for the cell that passed outside of the city was immediately followed by a warning involving something that passed directly through the center of town. ><; So I shut myself and four cats up in the basement spare bedroom with a radio. Was nice to discover my theories about how I feed my cats were right--if I drag the can of dry food and dishes in there, they will follow. Or 3 of 4 at least. Crystal I had to go get. But that wasn't too bad, even if I was in panikku mode.
Tho I will admit, between the first warning and the second warning, I did go out in the front yard to look up at the sky. >_> Clouds looked most freaky, and when the wind kicked up hard, I ran back in the house like a little flaily girl. -_- Sad.
Sounds like there's more watches until late tonight, but sounds like things shouldn't be so bad as that particular part of the weather system. Least I hope so, or getting sleep will be tough. *wussdork*
[Ed: Also, thank somethin' for cable TV. I don't think I heard any sirens during the first warning, not sure if they were going second warning--though they just tested the bastards last night. (Being down in the basement doesn't help hearing stuff like that.) If I weren't watching Food Network where the cable company did the shrill beep and flashed a message to turn to the weather alert station for info, I wouldn't have known anything was going on :x ]
