things, things.
Jul. 22nd, 2005 08:48 amWow, it's been awhile... Guess I just haven't felt like talking much, especially if it's just about computer games. Am sure it's fun to hear about that all the time. >_> And have had my breaks/lunch at work tangled up in trying to keep up with guild vault record-keeping, and finishing writing our guild charter and code of conduct for the DoomBringers' website. Have one potential edit to add to our ranks list, but that'll be done later, after getting an ok from the guild officers.
Anyway. The major thing going on right now is Crystal-cat just stopped eating for a couple days. Took her in to the vet yesterday, and her thyrid T4 levels were up again (back to a whole pill), she had a urinary tract infection, and she's got a kidney stone. Which is in a bad spot--it's in a ureter, so if it doesn't move on its own or be flushed out by the fluids the vet gave her overnight, we're looking at having to go to Ames, IA or Manhattan, KS to a vet school for surgery (if it were just stuck in the bladder area, our vet could operate on it, but this is beyond their abilities).
So I'm hoping the IV overnight will take care of it. If not, they'll x-ray again in a month (or sooner if she shows symptoms of it bothering her, or if her kidney values go bad. Right now those values are fine). It's just touchy, because she's an old cat, anesthesia is tough to handle on a cat with a thyroid that's out of whack, and the ureter with the stone is of course for her good kidney (ahyes, the xray showed that one of her kidneys is shrunken and may not be functioning...the other is good but enlarged some).
Anyway. Cat. Expensive, and worrisome. I'm hoping it doesn't end up at one of those 'decision' points. They should be calling after 11am with an update, and I should be able to pick her up on the way home.
So yeah, game crap. Might as well. Guild alliance stuff's had me stressed, but it seems to be calmer. Guild stuff's had me really stressed, and I fscking hate peoples' obsession with 'ranks'. Had me so bothered that last night I took a breather and hid out on a horde character on my own (an undead warlock that I took from beginning to lvl 9...for some reason I'm having better luck with her than I did with my gnome 'lock). Have Ony again tonight, hope that goes well. I've still got to keep farming with Sasu-rogue though, as someone sold me an epic dagger, and I still owe them 95g (aka. 3-4 farming visits to Tyr's Hand). But anyway, Sas's gear is looking better gradually. And she has the most kickass, wicked bow ever--the ancient bone bow, and man, it just looks evil. Very nice.
Sunday is a DnD/movie night day...blargh. I kind of don't like the days where I'm out of the house basically from noon to midnight (with a quick dash home to feed and medicate cats).
Oh, and Aaron? Got the BlizzCon tickets set up yesterday. Looks like I'm set for Otakon, except for the shuttle thing, and for BlizzCon except for flights/shuttles (mental note, get DL tix too).
