May. 10th, 2005 09:02 amMm, not much going on of late. Was in one of those introspective, negative, melancholy moods end of last week and beginning of this. Doesn't happen so much when I'm off work--I guess I can keep myself busy enough then, but work means mind wanderings and thinking, and that's never good. >_>; Perhaps a bit of Mello Yello-type caffeine can keep it away today. Caught up on sleep a little over the weekend, but kinda messed that up again last night, so caffeine, even a little, is coolness.
So Dave (ie. teh brother) got an internship at a law firm in KC over the summer, which might lead into a position post-graduation next year. Saw a picture of the skyscraper where the offices are--freaking sleek and posh-looking. Kid's doing amazingly well, it's really something. Anyway, doing dinner out with he and Dad Thurs., since Dave moves on the 20th.
This week'll be busy, then. The Bright Eyes concert tomorrow night (stupid me, am in one of my hide-at-home phases, so as much as I love the group, I'm wincing at having to be out), dinner Thurs., laundry and bills Friday evening, visiting my aunt in Seward Saturday. Yee.
Not gonna get a lot of WoW play time, seems like, which is kind of a bummer. Am halfway through 58 already, really want 60. And this is the time of big end-game instances, which often need a good couple-few hours, really. Did both Scarlet-side Strat (Stratholme, I believe?) and Baron-side Strat this past wkend, which was so. freaking. neat. Seriously, a city overrun by undead, on fire, just *neat*. I spent too much time looking up at the glow and the burning effects on the buildings and at the detail in the smoke and clouds in the sky. Just cool. Also did a brief BRD run (have too damned many quests there now), and helped a guildmate get the last boss of Uldaman (so I've finished that finally after abandoning it for so long, yay). I need to try lower and upper Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, and get working on the big quest chains (Onyxia, Blightcaller, Razelikh, etc.)
Oh, and I am the most sub-par rogue ever. Seriously. And my equipment, especially my daggers, have been laughed at by other players. Yay for my sucktastic bad luck and karma for getting drops and finishing the right quests.
... Don't ask me why I'm obsessing on Stargate SG-1 fic. I liked the movie, never really watched the show, and though I like Richard Dean Anderson, I'm not nutbar on him like I was years ago. But JackDaniel slash...has eaten my brain, for some god-unknown reason. And sounds like liquor, to boot. Or something. I'm a freak.
