I know it's only a young adult book, but Looking For Alaska by John Green is a danged fine novel, and yes, I've been reading instead of cataloging. It's one of the few books I've read that deals with the subject of death, especially one regarding a character you get to know, that doesn't leave me soured. And I really wish I could write characters like that.

Ok, can't escape it...

At home: ongoing WoW server problems, off and on, especially on since the latest patch which has crashed things for various amounts of time every evening.

At work: starting yesterday--or was it the day before?--our cataloging software/server keeps going down repeatedly. OCLC keeps fixing it, and it keeps breaking. this is what, five, six times so far? Anj and I are thinking of going home. ^^;

But then again, see point #1. Yeesh.

[Edit: HAAAR!! Was just commenting to Anj that my entire life is being dictated by servers going down. At which point, without missing a beat, she started singing the Strongbad "The System is Down" techno song. Complete with *doot doot doot doot* I promptly lost it.

XD The system is down...the system is down...yay, song stuck in head now. ]

[Edit2: adsfkj;laskjdf. because of continually-unreliable!problem-student-worker, I can't even choose to go home. Nice. Freaking bint. I'm so damned tired of having to hand-hold and push her through every step of every mundane task.]

Stupid Connexion software server *still* not up, that's a good 3/4 day lost to busywork. Yay, OCLC. And found out Dad's gone in the hospital with diverticulitis. He's being loaded up with antibiotics, so hopefully it'll only be a day or two. But still.

(On a side note..."Dear 98% of the Naruto fandom-- You all effing suck. Sincerely, me")
