Dec. 5th, 2004 10:35 pmLeslie's DnD game seems to be a whodunit mystery thing, which I suck at royally. Give me a dungeoncrawl, point me at a monster and I'll (try to) hit it or zap it. Just don't make me try to solve a puzzle or a mystery, because I can't. My character may be brilliant, but I am not.
Feel like crap, not sure if it's food or allergy crud. Nice and nauseous.
Reinstalled WoW fully...and my sound is still broken. My normal computer sound is just fine. In game, my background music is just fine. But all my game ambient sounds, game voices, game sound effects--those have been totally missing since about last Wednesday, and I don't know why. I don't think they've had any new patches, and nothing has changed on my computer, neither hardware or softwarewise. Just suddenly it went from working-sound-in-game to not, and there's nothing I can think to change--all their suggested solutions are PC specific, and not applicable to Macs (like drivers, or DirectX or operating system tinkering). Have posted to their forum and sent in an email, but dunno what assistance I'll receive. This is all bringing me very down, and I know it's more than I should be feeling down about--but I just love this game, and it was working fine until about the 1st, and now it's not, and I can't figure out *why*. (Oh, but insult to injury--James playing WoW on his computer...his sound is all just fine.)
So freaking glad my allergist appt. is tomorrow afternoon. Allegra may not work great, but it works some, and going without is like a headcold. *pathetic whining*
