Alice doesn't live here anymore
Oct. 25th, 2004 08:34 amSo I had a nice long rambling post ready yesterday. Then I got anal-perfectionistic and went to spellcheck it and clicked the window closed. So I said fsckit. But I suppose I could reassemble a little.
Anj and Gina rediscovered the addictiveness that is Katamari Damacy crack Saturday night. Anj played until she got blisters (and she's already making puppy eyes about coming over to play it sometime, potentially tonight). And they both did the ohwowit's*how*late when it was like 12:30--time flies in that game, seriously. (Then I was stupid and stayed up until 4:30 reading then only allowed myself 3 hrs. sleep, for which I'm still suffering).
Caffeine is good. Baja Blast Mountain Dew is decent. Tazo Teas are excellent--the only bottled teas worth it out there. Pitch Black Mountain Dew is vile like bitter batpiss, except I really can't say I've tried batpiss or any such thing to compare. I'm just guessing. Because Pitch Black *could* have been good but they screwed it up somehow. This morning I decided I needed to be late to work so I could get a pumpkin spice coffee frappucino at Starbucks (needed). Found a new flavor of Tazo Tea, also, but dropped the bottle on the pavement outside work, so I obviously still haven't tried it. Picking up big chunks of glass is fun.I'm such a goddamned idiotic fecking klutz.
Don's game turned into just talking. Which I suppose is ok, but...eh. Also, he burns scented candles over there. >< Normally doesn't bother me, except makes me sniffly. But right now, set me off coughing all day and evening. Still feeling it today.
Saturday was old music dling day. Arlo Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant (<3!! Everyone should listen at least once...Dad can recite the "Shrink, I wanna kill" bit by heart), Iron Butterfly's Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida (which I plan to play properly--ie floor vibrating window shaking loud--sometime when I have the house to myself), some Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Bette Midler, Beatles, and so on. Still think I might need some of the Doors. *shrugs* Also occurred to me that the vocalist for Franz Ferdinand reminds me just a bit of Jim Morrison, and Keane reminds me a little of The Beatles. So I might find some of that, too, maybe.
Teen Titans really is addictive. Damned cute. *waves her BeastBoy flag* And just because I'm random, will say here that I found the coolest wristbands ever at the discount Big Lots store--you know, the stretchy knit sweatband things. These're fuschia with black stripes...with a cartoony skull and crossbones stitched on in white. <3<3 Most awesome things ever.
Ha, how many times am I going to go to the post ofc, and forget to pack/mail those Father Ted tape copies to Mom?I'm a fecking forgetful twit as well as a klutz D<
So tired. Caffeine, please work, please. But this should be a good work week--my supervisor is on vacation. <3 Yee~
