Thinking, thinking...

Dad's already gotten the NG tube out, and sounds a lot more alert and in good spirits (less pain meds and such will do that, I suppose...). Sounds like there's a chance he might even get out today. At the least, they'll move him from the jello/broth of yesterday to real solid food. Which I guess he's been craving. ^^; I don't blame him.

My glasses are going to be the most cursed-jinxed things ever. ._. Did the appt. and ordered them before AX. Since then, the store's already sent them back twice for flaws they found on inspection, and I heard that at least a couple times the re-makings took longer due to 'lens breakages'. Then they had to send them back a third time, because the antireflective coating had been done oddly, so it was somehow different on each lens. Then I get a call this am that there was another 'breakage'. ._. So they're making me up a temporary set (it'll be all the special things I need, just on thicker lenses), so I have something while I'm waiting for them to remake the lenses entirely from scratch. So...yeah. Malbar is a reputable company, one of the good optometrists in town, but still...major, major run of bad luck. Glasses of doom... ._. *ph34r*

Ever had daydreams that just leave you giddy and giggly, even if there's no way they could happen? ... >_>; I get dumb on wishing.

Anyway...gotta drop James off super early for all-day Amptguard stuff tomorrow. Then I do the fittings for my glasses (I'll keep the frames & they'll just switch out to the permanent lenses eventually. if they ever get it right >_>; ). Would really like to zip off to the zoo for a while after, maybe make a quick manga run to B&N, then re-watch some YnM. At least the Kyoto arc...been really wanting some time alone so I can watch that and get as emotional as I want <3 Then there's a get together at Don's tomorrow evening. So, interestingness. Will finally be able to give Don his little trinket from AX (Wah...reminds me, I need to do some packaging/post officing soon...)

Only minor improvements in productivity today. Very minor. Haven't even been reading...just have been slow for some reason. *sighs* And there's so little of the day left already...

Anj spotted this on the Autocat mailing list (an international ml for discussion of cataloging and authority control such things...you know, library fun) during a discussion of just how to word a particular note for certain records.

It's starts with:

(So does this explain why I have to make sure the artist/title/album info on my mp3s are all labelled just so?)

(And this is to keep me from angsting how I ran into Take-sensei when she stopped by to talk to Anj today, and how my brain was screaming at me "You haven't studied a damned bit since early May, and somehow she'll know! You said you'd call her about seeing your final before AX, and you still haven't! Embarassment dooooom!" -_- )
