Kinda...blew yesterday. Guess I'd burned myself out a bit much, and went to the opposite extreme. Even got out an old oil pastel piece to work on, and just put it back away. Plan on working on Japanese studying during Leslie's game today instead.

Ended up spending some time out with Anj--she had a gc, so we went to the bead store it was for and let her shop. I do love seeing her artistic creativity in action. The stuff she can come up with is rather keen. Did have her put together a new Kyou bracelet, as I found the right stone beads. Has a clasp instead of stretchy elastic, so it doesn't look quite right, but ohwell, I guess. Just wanted something more secure for nicer beads than cheap elastic stuff. But is black fiber optic sphere beads, and white sphere beads of some milky mineral--opaque white, but if you hold them up to the light, they have an almost orange glow to them They just...all look right. *shrugs*

Also went to World Market for weird snacks and imported chocolate bars--among other things, scored a extra dark Lindt bar composed of 85% cocoa solids. Yowza. Compiled snacks and sandwiches together in the evening and had folks over for more of Anj's Tantei Gakuen Q DVDs. Idiot me started falling asleep, though.

Didn't end up crashing after they left, though. Needed to wallow/drown in fic reading. But that didn't go well. Used to be, I could spend *hours* reading, with a bit of looking. Now, despite the number of fandoms I read in, I can find little new. It's 45 minutes looking (web browsing, following links, checking old bookmarks) for every 15 minutes reading...and even then, it just seems all crappy. Like there's nothing I can really lose myself in, or that remotely approaches blowing me away. I beat my head against this brick wall of seeking, and come up with almost nothing, and the craving I feel doesn't dissapate. Still been trying to look for stuff this am, not been finding. Am...really frustrated. I want escapism, and I can't locate it. Am feeling somewhat annoyed at the ff.net and drabble/temps morte fads perhaps having an impact on multi-chapter stories. Or maybe I've just read too much too fast, and it's caught up with me.

They say we are threatened by more big snowstorms, but will see if anything comes of those.

(unless, of course, things close tomorrow. If that happens, all lauds and praises.)

Shoveling. Bah. Got about 6in. today, they say another 3-10 potential tonight/tomorrow. Please let there be another snow day. It would make me teh happy. Also have heard there is another storm coming through Wed/Thurs., then one around Saturday, maybe another next week? Oo Well. We have some amazing drifts in our yard, both natural and shovelling related. They're eating our house.

Snow + Superbowl = streets deserted like "The Day After". Kinda creepy, inna way. If I could photograph it, I would call it desolate white. Except it's a bit pretty--especially the pine trees on the corner by that one store, with all the clear Christmas lights still on them, shining under branches coated like with gobs of frosting.

Not much to say, really. Just musings. Should eat and keep tinkering with studying or something.

[Edit: Ohyeah, almost couldn't make it up the hill (ie. slight incline) to the house coming back from the store, thanks to the muck-slush-ice-snow piled on the street. Another point against the snow deities. Tho doesn't help Saturns suck ass on traction/getting through snow and ice, plus our tires aren't super. And ponderable of the day: how the hell do I remember to get peanut butter, but totally forget to get bread when they're both in the same aisle? And I had a list? Fffeh...moron.]
