Other than that, not much going on. It smells rather earth-wormy outside--but the rain is good. I imagine we're finally out of drought conditions some time ago, but I still think we need extra to carry us through the inevitably dry and hot summer.

And we did go out for sushi last night to celebrate Anj's end of semester. Ended up finally at Sushi Ichiban, which remains my favorite Japanese place, whether here or any other city. They've got great people working for them (waitstaff or chefs/sushi chefs--almost all of them Japanese), a cool atmosphere, *awesome* food, and decent prices. I tried something called a Crazy Salmon hand roll which was really keen...and had no rice. Seriously, it was a layer of cooked salmon, real crab, and smelt roe, all wrapped with nori seaweed into a handroll, then fried in tempura batter. Expensive, but *way* worth it. Meaty! ^^ Or at least, seafood meaty.
