In a freaking instant, I'm 12 again, in junior high, just hearing the news in my first hour gym class, in the locker room. I'm 12 and watching those goddamned images on TV over and over and over an d over, and crying.
Now it's, what, 17 years later, and it's just the same, just like then. History fucking repeats itself.
I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid. Even got Oddessey magazine for kids, kept looking up at the stars, always wonderi ng what it was like out there.
