Anyway, can't thinka much to talk about, but felt like posting something anyway. I need some goofball quiz to toss up here, or something.
Mmmm, gotta love the weather out there. *grins* Totally overcast, cool, with a gusty wind that smells of rain but is chilly enough to still be bringing autumn. Oh, I *do* so like it like that. They say it's only going to get to 70, and I hope they're right. I just need to get more windows open at home--it's still too stuffy. Though the cats are going insane trying to look out of the few we've got cracked open as is. >D
Instead of my usual session with Michael last night, I dragged over Sen to Chihiro no Kami Kakushi (Spirited Away--and you wouldn't *believe* how long it's taken me to memorize the Japanese title for that *flails*) He really, really liked it, but was bemoaning the fact that it wasn't included in the HK subbed Studio Ghibli DVD set he'd gotten off Ebay a couple months ago--I did point out to him that that set only went up to the late 90's. Not their fault that stuff continued to come out after the 'set' was marketed--or that he didn't look to see if there were other films. Heh. Not a big deal--now he just has to go and find a DVD like what Moe got. But he likes everything to be *just so*, so it's kinda funny to watch him when he realizes his collection is still incomplete. ^^
Rediscovered Morgan D's website of CCS fiction last night, and had the chance to catch up on a little bit of Touya&Yukito/Yue stuff. Not that there's much--unfortunately as with all the somewhat decent authors, stories come out very slowly, and her site doesn't end up updated often--but still it's nice to see a bit more in that one storyline (what was the first story? Guardian's Heart, or somethingorother like that?). It's interesting to see her take on how Yukito and Yue would start to become more integrated, and how Yukito would start to grow more aware of the situation. Though in that one prologue, I was prepared to ack if she used the word 'oishii' one more time--stop the senseless use of random Japanese, and especially stop fixating on one word! *flails, grins*
Eh, got another student to interview for the work study position in our department. Bleeeeeeeeh. I *hate* doing interviews--doesn't matter if I'm not at the worry/have to impress people end of it, it still makes me nervous and makes my stomach hurt. Least there aren't many to interview--not many get work study financial aid from the government, so not many can apply. Plus, a good half of the apps I've contacted haven't returned my calls or emails, so they're eliminating themselves quite nicely. ^^ Ah, fun fun.
Dad's outta town, so no dinner out with him tonight. I wonder if I'll *gasp* have to cook--ooh, the thought of it. >D You don't know how rare me cooking this weekend was--or the fact that I did so *two* days inna row! I'm so damned lazy and apathetic about that whole thing--the cheap restaurants and fast food places in town get far, faaar too much of our money. ^^; Dangit, but Fazoli's is calling me again, waugh! *flails* Hee.
Aw, I have to go be responsible and productive and I don't wanna... *whine* ^^; Bother this being an adult thing. (What was it I saw on a shirt? Something like "Just because I have to grow old doesn't mean I have to grow up." ^^ Yeah, that's me. Ooh, reminds me of another shirt I saw that would be perfect for Nix that reads "What am I, flypaper for freaks?" or something like that. ^^ Love her weirdo magnet.)
