The longest night
Aug. 12th, 2002 12:58 pmSlept worth *crap* last night. I mean, mega-crap. I have no clue why, but I kept waking up, over and over--I think it was maybe every half hour or so, then between 4 and 5 I think I woke up about every 10 minutes, maybe more. By then I was getting a bit punchy, and was having trouble reading the digital display on my alarm clock.
Everything just kept waking me up--the noises the cats were making, a thunderstorm, my legs hurting and being uncomfortable, being unable to find a way to lay that felt right. And I kept having tons of *weird* dreams all night. Can't remember much of any of them now, since I didn't try to remember, but at least one left me thinking Crystal was sick, and I kept sitting up to check on her at the foot of the bed to make sure she was all right (and I distinctly remember her getting rather pissy with me eventually).
Today is therefore mush-fog-for-brains day. :p I was going to crash super early this evening, but I miss people (*glompshugs Kea*), so I think I'll try to stay up for at least a little AIM use. Plus I really should get in another guitar practice, so I'm ready for tomorrow's lesson.
In other news, James brought me back some dice from Gencon (it's kinda tradtion--the two times I went I spent *tons* on buying funky and different dice. Even though I buy individuals rather than dice sets, I still have two dice bags full of weird-colored multisiders of different types. ^^; ). And he got a Player vs. Player comic book signed for me by Scott Kurtz, who even drew a little Skull the troll head on the cover. It's rather cute, actually. PVP (www.pvponline.com) has become a favorite since the death of the Jar (those bastards) and since Megatokyo decided to go all angsty (yeah I still read it, but I don't check it every couple days like at first--I kinda catch up in chunks when I'm in the mood).
Oh, and just because I'm an obsessive freak, I have to talk about it a bit: bruises, still there. Damned lot of colors, but some parts finally starting to fade (other parts just getting to the surface :p). Just bugs me still how *much* there was, and how far it all spread. And I still don't know how I got bruising on my ankles, especially since I never hurt there--but there they are anyway. Weird.
